@Shadow, two things.
If it takes you an hour to get through the puzzle, you can't be very intelligent.
It doesn't take tweaking. If you can't beat the boss, you obviously haven't been fighting enough.

Hmm, anyone else here unable to find your way back to sun temple after finishing it? I'd really like to go back to Xantusia, but I can't find out how!
Otherwise, loving the game, one of the few real 5/5 out there!

hmm....1 hour of work to get through the water temple's puzzle just to find an overpowered boss that wiped out my team with a single hit....needs a bit of a tweaking there.....at least make the monsters a bit stronger to give a *hint*

HELP! I CAN'T GET OUT OF LIFEWOOD! I looked online and it said to use a dream circle. How do I use a dream circle? I have Gloria in my party and it still won't work!

@SpecterMat: The healer only buffs when her team hasn't taken any major damage since her last turn. That includes her first turn, so just pump up your heavy hitters' agility and and hit her before she takes her first turn. If she doesn't Shield, you'll do far more damage than she can heal, and should be able to take her out by turn 3. The thief does use 500hp potions on low hp party members though, so find some way to disable him(e.g sleep/confuse) in the meantime.

In my opinion, this is the best game on kongregate without a doubt. I have just passed the 40 hour mark and i'm not even finished Earth Temple! I love this game, i love its music, the battle graphics and all the extra game play. I can't wait for the new installment!

I haven't played this game for very long, but I really do enjoy it. :) I think it's refreshing and I haven't seen something like this in awhile. Great job, great fun, and definitely deserve that spot on kong homepage. Keep up the awesome work!
p.s. only thing i had difficulty with--accessing the game from another computer doesn't load the saved game from your own...which i knew would happen, but i still wish it could save online. thank you :D

The long awaited sequel to Mardek 2 is here, and by god it is an incredible one! I estimate the amount of content has multiplied by a factor of 4-8 compared to M2 so you WILL be kept busy that's for sure! I've got a good 40 hours of time in total on my latest saved file (across the three games) and I'm stuck on the 'superboss', who will no doubt take much careful planning to defeat. I love the gameplay of the whole series and how it is highly reminiscent of old-school Final Fantasy (which it was no doubt inspired by), but I love how it parodies pop culture/traditional RPG cliches and includes general bits of light-hearted humour here and there. If crave RPGs and have a good sense of humour, then this one certainly won't disappoint you! Congratulations Pseudo, considering your status as an indie games producer you've done an incredible job creating this masterpiece: games of such quality only come once in a blue moon.

1.Make a new game on Mardek Ch 1.
2.Beat up the dragon and finish the fantasy adventure (for all not mardek players,Mardek and his friend deugan slay a dragon in thier imagination)
3.Go home (I'm not 100% sure if it's neccesarry but do it anyway)
4.Die in a battle (better soothwood than the severs because of some way blocking guy who runs on 1 space without moving)
5.Don't load your game!!!!Start a new one and you will respawn there were you died. You will maybe look like small boys so just go to the inventory and you will see your new stuff.Go back and you like in their imagination.)
6.Go home (Here I am sure you have to do it)
7.Then go to the ''star''
8.Beat mugbert like the f&$k that he is
9.then take away ALL the stuff from mardek and deugan off and give it to mardek's inventory (don't let either mardek or deugan Wear anything)
10.Go back home and finish the chapter.
11.In chapter 2 you have the stuff stored by mardek and he is lvl.50,but deaugan isn't.

@nessfalcon : from your comment, I think you did not try Mardek I amd Mardek II. You learn your skill from equipments, amulet, ring, and etc. Once you MASTERED them, you may use them even if the EQs are being removed. Well, not that hard to master them though.

If you press Z the minute a blue enemy bubble appears (you know, the one that appears right before you fight) you skip the battle. I don't think it talked about this in-game, but only appeared in the help section. So.. just a heads-up.

I'm really pissed about the miasma chalices, they're a one go thing, so you have to read the walkthrough ahead of time to make sure you know they disappear after defeating the boss of the temples. If you saved over that, then it's hours of back up and you have no chance of getting the impossible badge - so go ahead and read the walkthrough, take away the challenge of figuring it out yourself or doing it your way, so you have a chance at the impossible badge.

Wow. This is one of the best RPG's I've ever played on the PC. It really rivals other games on other systems as well. I also like the fact that you used that nostalgia feeling when I fight Cactuar look-alikes. It adds a great parody feel to the game. Very well done and can't wait to see more from you ;D 5/5

Easy way to defeat guardians. Purchase enough noxious bombs to have two to each member of your party, and then purchase bottled essences in reference to the boss you will be fighting. To start the battle, throw a noxious bomb, and then just lob essences until it is dead. Keep this post alive!

im a rater of rpgs and playing this i cans safely say this is one of thee best rpgs ive ever played i hope you continue this pseudolonewolf and kudos on the story most rpgs are pass or fail and this is definitely a pass

I've yet to play this one, loading now, but i've played both chapters one and two. And this is, by far the best flash rpg out there. I've played hundreds of flash rpgs, and thousands of flash games in general, and this is one i'll never forget. I love the mix of a wonderful story and great gameplay combined with a parody aspect. Ive had plenty of shits n giggles playin it, and still i get absorbed into the story. Truly magnificent. Granted the last 2 seem a bit lacking in combat depth, but that seems to be changing as the chapters progress. Usually I have a couple paragraphs of issues or complaints.... this will be the exception. Amazing job, keep up the good work.

*Comment for those who has all the crystals.*
Do you think Steele from chapter 2 is the mystery man? he has a scar and blames emela for it. and he is gloria's brother, who they call evil.
Just a theory but I think the evil mystery man is Steele.

If it's possible, in the next chapter, for Warport, you should have a teleporter for the Golden Warport Passholders or something because going through the whole security hallway and then going through the hallway after the security hallway is a little annoying... well, at least I'm not a terrorist anymore.

If you read this, you will not be able to resist reading the Earth Guardian's text in your head as Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Well done, Pseudolonewolf. This game is a masterpiece. The transition from engaging story to hilarious satire and back again is seamless. Never once does anything seem corny or forced. Combat possesses just the right amount of difficulty, which is certainly refreshing as most RPGs these days are just way too easy. Kudos on the music and graphics as well. My only complaint (and it is a minor one) is that it takes an insanely long amount of time to master the myriad of passive abilities. On the flip side, learning everything ensures that I'm never too weak to tackle the next objective. 5/5, and I eagerly await the release of future chapters.
