Great game. Just beat dragon on hard with sneaky berserker build :P( frenzy teleport blink stealth and holy weapon) got health upgrades and dmg upgrades lots of defense gear and sleep bomb and spare blink scroll. Used stealth dagger for weapon.

A warning for new players. Ice Blast has longer cooldown than Fire Blast and cannot be targeted on the ground. The area of effect is plus-shaped so it's difficult to hit more than 1 monster. Makes me wanna un-upgrade that skill ;(

Polymorph can be used to heal your dog - if it changes into a creature with less health a greater proportion of its health will be filled than before, and when it changes back the proportion remains constant.

Since the recent patch, I find that enemies stunned by my pugilist's sweep skill often wake up immediately, before I've even taken a turn!

This is my kind of game exactly. Kongregate needs more proper roguelites! 5/5, one of the most enjoyable games I've played here by far.

if you're using Firefox, check out the "Flash Resizer" addon. allows you to stretch the flash window to any size you like. I agree, 50% larger is just right.

When I first got the wizard's "Enslave" spell, I saw it needed xp to recharge and I was like "Aww... it's like Heal; I can't just spam it." Sorta feeling down about it, since my fireballs one-shot most enemies anyway and my mirror spell made a more reliable minion anyway. Then I successfully enslaved a giant dragon. :)

Screen size needs to be 50% larger and a hunter shouldn't be able to shoot his own dog in the face :p else it's grand

polymorphing does not take away a creature's abilities. don't know if this was intentional, but there it is. you can end up turning a fireball tossing mage into an fireball tossing ogre.

Best "traditional" rogue-like I've played in quite a while. Rogue-ish mechanics are quite popular the past years. You tweaked the traditional formula at just the right places. I think this is the way to go in order to transport the idea into modern gaming. Really looking forward for more. 5/5

bow should not be a skill, it should be a weapon. having it as a skill defeats the purpose of being an archer, AND removes an important skill slot! it makes the ranger start off with a penalty.

I don't know how monsters sleep, mind you, but I am pretty damn sure, that no one can be both asleep, and blocking my big ass hammer strikes.

I think there should be both a morale bonus and an xp bonus for higher difficulties and better equipment should be awarded.

I can beat the first act on insane difficulty with every class but the paladin. low starting health, judgement not very efficient, low damages, no way to increase speed... I must have lost at least 50 times. Any tips ?

Try out Dungeon Crawl stone soup as well it takes a little doing to get to it but its just as good if not better than this game

I don't know, I usually like these sort of games but it doesn't feel like there is any real appeal to this game. There isn't even really any grinding since you restart each time completely anyway. There's no story, no real goals, no real purpose, not that many abilities, and not that much to explore or see. It's a good game but there are more solid games that push the envelope or try and do something unique and this one is generic at best. The graphics are spectacular and visually stunning but the areas themselves are kind of uninteresting, with names like "Village".

Just starting this game, I wish there was some sort of information before I started playing. I am not psychic. It doesn't make it more mysterious or more interesting, just an annoying first impression. I have a feeling this will be a great game but you need a real introduction.
