Too many glitches. Kept having to restart when things vanished from my inventory, like everything vanished after I completed part one... Not starting again.

FYI: The text walk through given by the developer no longer works. Try this one in its place. It has some minor errors but you should be able to work around them. The game is great but very complex and difficult if point and clicks are not your thing: http://jayisgames.com/archives/2011/09/nick_toldy_and_the_legend_of_dragon_peninsula.php

I like how he carries bajillions of random things in his inventory. Oh roadkill! Let's take it. Oh a cat and a parrot. Let's keep them in our pocket too :)

Nice game, even if i needed the walkthrough again and again. but the end video stucked and it endet with a blackscreen. =( so only 4/5

Great game! Considering how many times we have to go from one place to the other, a map and a double click on the exit = instant exit (instead of waiting for the character to cross this whole damn screen) would be nice! Otherwise, great game, I actually find the puzzles challenging but not too hard, there are hints everywhere but they tend to be subtile. Love the humour in the game!

As many other people (thankfully) pointed out in the comments, some puzzles are not obvious or they do not work until other events happen first that don't seem related...
The developers walkthrough is "page not found". So I used this one:
Amusing, but without this walkthrough I would've given up at the start.

Okay the developers walkthrough gives a file not found.
So the link below is broken:

BTW without this, I appear to be hopelessly stuck.
Meanwhile, I'll play morningstar a second time!

Very nice game, but I wonder if anyone completed it without the walkthrough. I didn't get far, needed help again and again and again. I finally gave up.

I just noticed a bug in the cave, when trying to break the brick wall. Loaded and unloaded minecart don't follow the same route when switches are positioned the same.

*SPOILER ALERT:*
You might find these helpful if you didn't note them down!
The Dragon Peninsula Standard (flag) is: a Dragons Head, a Horses Head, and two Swords.
The Serial number to the Vending Machine is McA-43, the Gramophone is McA-24, and the Bronco is McA-32.
MINE TIPS: 1. An empty cart into 2/4 (collapse tunnel) = coal; 2. Loaded cart into 4/4 = crank, and cut cable; 3. An empty cart into 3/4, then to the left = break open brickwork.
(N.B. Make sure you turn your sound on before entering hole for end scene!).

I went to give the parrot coffee to shut him up, and apparently when I don't talk to the parrot first, he'll take the coffee and will still say that I will wake up the captain :/

I liked the game well enough. Yep, had to think somewhere, but it wasn't too difficult. Also I really loved it that you reused the items you had. For example the spear -> fishing pole -> use it to measure a spear's lenght -> make it a spear again. Or the tongs, hammer and master key got a lot of use. :) -- yeah should've had a typed up walkthrough, I used the video one a bit, but would've preferred to check a typed one at those couple of places I got stuck. (Gramophone, jail, mine)

As others stated, the combining is not as intuitive as it needs to be. Additionally, the inventory screen would be infinitely more accessible if I could see all my items on one page. (two rows, hello??) This was still fun though. 3.75/5

Following the classic point-and-click motto of trying everything, this game sure tests your knowledge of smithing, cooking, inventing, and... a few other bizarre hobbies. The story was humorous and creative enough to keep my curiosity and attention, but I don't think anyone could pass the game without getting frustrated and lost in at least one point in the game.

Well, some things were kinda hard and without a walkthrough I wouldn't make it but the ending was simply marvelous! Great game
