If you have lots of mages/dryads/totems (let's say 50-100) you may be able to destroy their castle before they crush your meatshield, but if you can't, then you ususally are in trouble. And even if you kill all their unit's in that wave, the strong units will be coming so you can't just defend with your crossbow anymore... You gotta fight.
I prefer maxing your mana AND crossbow, then making about 50 Mages/dryads/totems, then making bunch of strong units (Paladins/Beast riders/Protectors) as meatshield. Then just make moar of strong ones. This is good only for later levels.

I'd say they are balanced pretty well, but i'm no expert at these things so...
I think this is more tactical than the first one and better thet way, but its my opinion... AND i CAN see why some of you Don't like this game. It's not perfect, lulz.
-Spamming troops: In early levels, you just win by spamming lvl3 squires, but with Chapter 6 here it wont work anymore. You gotta do the strong ones and mages/dryads/totems + some archers/canons to pwn them.
And as Joko2958 said, If you deal over half of their castles hp at once, they sen LOTS of everything, mostly STRONG (LOTS OF THEM, especially in later chapters) units. Usually theres dragons and angels/demons involved.

Bah, Frog guy is easy... And besides, if he was easier, then what epic would there be if the battle wouldn't last more than half hour?
-Balancing: This is free game, and who cares about balancing? [WE ALL DO] I thought totems rule all, but they only rule if enemy SPAMS troops. They normally send waves and i prefer dryads, coz totems ususally miss single targets.

How to beat the hard levels: when you get the arch angel start pumping out cannons + white wizards. The white wizards will constantly heal the angel and the cannons will protect the white wizards from all incoming troops. It takes awhile but it works!

WTF this game is retardly impossible. im at chapter 16 and the enemy had over 100 guys on field while i only had 20. i died and i couldnt do anything to stop it

The Overlord guy that looked like a frog, the one that is three levels away from the last battle i think is ENTIRELY too strong. It took me 30 minutes after i destroyed the tower to kill him.

just one problem with that: if you don't spam troops, you will NEVER get close enough to their castle to do even ONE point of damage!
oh, and the fireball special didn't even kill ONE enemy!

Very bad game with poor balancing. Epic War 1 was much better, this sequel sucks. Gameplay is 3/5, but because you did such a poor job at keeping a good game, 1/5. Also, wth is with those dumb fire trolls? They are beatable, but hella imba.

Kind of a funny strategy (best in the early levels). As the Orcs, upgrade so you have a totem and build up to around 800 mana or so. Make one totem and then immediately begin making as many goblins as you can, as fast as you can. Three squires can hold off goblins until the cows come home but as soon as the totem gets in range... BAM! Then the enemies are stunned and the goblins club them to death and move on to the next guy.

Lord of Hell is easy, if you just spam angels and titans. I dunno, if mages/dyards/totems (Lots of them) actually stun him as they heal him. I myself WON the battle against him WITH 50 dryads. Of course, when the battle with King of hell himself started, i had Angel to battle him and Titan coming. He was healed at first, but stunned EVERY SECOND OF THE BATTLE. He never hitted, so nobody died and i got moar of Angels and titans. It lasted bit of a time, as dryads healed him all time, but when my army of titans and angels grew, I managed to do large amount of damage. Nobody got near bechause of Angels and tians piercing attack.... That was my strategy. I have informed Rudy from Phatom archer bug, at least whispered.
But anyway nice game.
AND TELL US WHICH DAMAGE TYPES UNITS USE! (sorry about caps).

and i quote "I love how people complain about things, such as how they send out massive waves. Here's a solution. IN STEPS. 1) Max out your arrow as high as you can. 2) When they reach halfway across the map, use Specials. 3) DON'T SPAM YOUR TROOPS. When you start spamming troops, they start doing it too. What you should do is have long range units to pick them off, roughly 5-10. Save up your mana, and went they send out a large force, retaliate with specials and such, then start spamming out your own large force. Also, if you do massive damage to their castle all at once, they'll send out a large enemy, so if you trickle it down with say... 3 paladins at a time, then you'll have the huge wave sent in lesser waves as the HP does down." just use bomberman!

for the orcs chapter 6 just spam th dwarf if u get the achievment u have to play the game three times for but but wait til ur mana is depost to be 450 then spam :D

i agree with the autofire being always on or atleast make it sothat when you turn it on it doesn't stop firing when you do other things IE look at other tabs, open the notepad, try to write a comment here, etc.

Okey guys... I was at The Lord of Hell and... My favorit men are Human Mages so I had like... 100 of those and like 50 clerics healing them, and I kinda healed The Lord of Hell for over 100k health... I really couldn't get rid of my mages and it was super annoying =/

so during my "last boss" angry-beeing comment, i forgot to notice the small bugs :P 1) during battle, castle upgrade 3 says its 1200 mana but its 1600 really; 2) level3 phantom archer at elves (maxed) has wrong "info panel", it says its a Hunter; and again, PLEASE tell us that units attacks belong to which type of damage!!! sorry for bad english (still more usefull comment then "FISRT!!!" i hope :P )

there is a small bug on the human barrack lvl 2, it shows 500mana required but in fact it is 800, when it turns available it shows the real number

what an earth is the magic damage??!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????!!!???? f@ck that sh*t.. the elf mages shooting ICE, last boss has 90% resist to ICE, and absorb to MAGIC, so please mark somewhere that ice isnt ice, but its truely magic!!! thats bullsh*t... i wonder if totem's fire is still an elixir becos its not fire, its magic. btw dragon's fire works like meelee... oh c'mon, the game is ok, but PLEASE WRITE BEHIND THE ATTACK VALUE THAT WHICH DAMAGE CLASS ARE THEY, e.g. with the littlebittle marks (3 shield with the sword, bow, pentagram plus the 3 colored crystal)

How to win: 1.Start firing as far as possible. Hold all of the enemys units away only by using your arrows. 2. Upgrade your tower as much as possible. 3. Upgrade mana to 9999 4. Wait to 9999/9999 mana 5. Send ewerything you can afford and keep pressing qwertyu (if you got these units) also after your units starts atakcing the enemy. The you'll win. COPY AND PASTE TO HOLD THIS ALIVE FOR ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
