The rebuild it is the problem. The rebuild would add alot of strategy if the opponent won in the long run but the opponent always loose in the long run. That is the main problem with this game. And the pressing A button for hours problem.

It's an ok game, gets REALY old after you get the elves or orcs and are forced to raise them... I would have finished the game by now but I keep losing progress by accidently doing something to naviagate away from the page. I hate the fact that when you finally mass spawn units and hit thier castle, all these elite units from the other team pwn your ass, so you replay the missons before... and try again... and again... as I said, gets old.

Are protecters those guys with buster swords right?... Yeah, there is a way to kill em, just stall em as best you can with soldiers and bowman, and spam your arrows at em, and they will go down eventually, when I was in the fight I had maxed out hoursemen with 4 arrows on my thing.

Trebuchets aren't trebuchets... just bigger colored catapults... gets boring.... most painful medium and hard badges to get on Kongregate... not balanced... u don't get enough exp... stops becoming a game after about 5 rounds... I'm gonna finish it but never play it again... Most overated game on site... Epic War I is much much better... I name this game EPIC FAIL. 2/5 but only because of graphics and an attempt to make a sequel...

what I hate about this game is that you have to upgrade every level and consume man but it is still cool so I give it a 4/5

good early strategy (for first few levels): keep spawning arrows until you get enough mana and start spamming archers, when they start approaching the castle Super Spam Hobbits to distract any archers or swordsmen.

Too bad the designer didn't ask people who played the Epic War for input. The gameplay for EW2 is poor compared to the first one. You shoot arrows at everything for the first 80%, you max out your mana, then you buy everything as fast as you can, and you painfully wait for the level to end. Then you repeat for the next level. There's not even any thinking involved since you can't buy things faster than you gain mana. Loved the first one, even though I could never beat the final boss on EW1. Story is better than average, but doesn't make up for lack of gameplay.
