P.S. If you upgrade your mana for a long time, the game goes faster than if you don't. Unless you're not doing it smart and lose.

I was on level 10, and was doing fine, almost killed them, then was rebutted by 100 monster riders and 10 cannons. ON LEVEL 10! WTF!?

To endless rave, ur supposed to find a way to beat their counter offensive, not whine that you can't do it. find a way that works. for me its mages, few paladins, and then hobbits massively. and only sending out 60 troops is sufficient, mostly hobbits. think and don't whine. its what gets you forward in life

TO PJSTELFORD first of all. against the elven troops, paladins suck. they can't hit becuase the elven paladin is faster and 1 attack stuns. 25 make sure that your paladins can't attack. what u should do is 1) spam hobbits to slow the enemy down. 2) instead of bunches of paladins, have bunches of wizards and a few paladins, without any of the archers, archers are crap, they deal little damage, the artillery is also crap at cose range so screw them too. i had like 60 units on the field. just spam hobbits and mages. when they counter attack, then you wanna continue hobbit spam, but send out 1 or two paladins to slow their march along with the hobbits. use ur arrows (hopefully u have penetrating ones [elemental]) to destroy them all, even if they might be close to ur camp. after there is only 1 or 2 left, send out a few paladins, and use ur arrows to take out the archers and supporting fire.

i personally only had one elemental arrow and no arrow specialty and i came out ok, after their support fire and main force of elven paladins are gone, then go on the offensive again with mages and paladins, get to their base, and spam hobbits continuously. at the end it might be hard to get one or two shots in with the mages, but in the end it'll work out.

Guide to easy win:
(first research everything to max)
- upgrade your arrows to max first
- continue upgrading buildings and castle till u reach max
- max out your mana
- start summoning catapults, trebuchets cannons, dwarfs, paladins, mages and mounted crossbowmen (or their equivalent)
- continue to spawn your troops
- when enemy counter attacks with massive forces use super arrows and special attacks and continue to spawn your troops
- always aim with the arrrows on the most powerful unit of enemy or at their artillery units

Typical game after Level 6- Spend 20 building up mana to be able to upgrade everything. Afterward, send out 100's of your soldiers and wait another 10 minutes for them to make it across the field. Watch your enemy send out it's unbelievably strong troops out of nowhere, slaughtering yours.

Chapter 8: I have 12 paladins out, countless other units of all sorts, 195 units out total and not hobbit spamming. I'm entirely at their castle, get them down to 10% health, and it spawns a cluster of (I guess) 25 elven paladin equivalents that proceed to just march across the battlefield, not a single one dying to archer, arrow, wizard, and artillery. Lovely play balance there.

how the hell do u do shpt 12 the demon and the dragon keep raping me i was able to kill em with 100 men but the n the orc forces were strong enough to hold me back until another demon came and there was soooo much lag i couldnt even aim my dam bow

I agree with over like, 5 hundred of these comments that it needs a fast forward button. It's way too slow and that will lose some interest to the game in some people. If there is going to be a third Epic War, please make a fast-forward

Very slow game; it takes FOREVER for your guys to march to the far side, at which time they get slaughtered because you can't support them with the bow anymore. Boring, repetitive, no-brainer solution: hold down the fire key to kill incoming monsters, while building up your mana to staggering levels, and then send out an unstoppable horde. Two major things which would help this game: faster pace, and autofire. A decent example of faster pacing that comes to mind is Battle Gear. 2/5, because you spend most of the game doing absolutely nothing.

I just got owned by Lev 16! I enjoyed the beating and it certainly matched the storyline expectations, but I was a little disappointed in the extreme difference between 15 and 16. The strategy difference is night and day and just too extreme. Probably could have been handled better. Still good though!
