After starting the first mission the "help" page vanished when I was in the middle of reading it. And what's with the one color, squiggly image buttons? The last game had such a nice interface.

the arrow controls could use some slowing down, so im not overshooting. just too touchy. fix upgrades, and the glitches so i can play this and enjoy it. 2/5

I think the aiming keys are too responsive...it's hard to aim if you barely press it and it moves down a lot. Otherwise I think it's better than the original...stil a few things that could be improved like people before me said... 4/5

needs to have an autosave and a autofire option. Simple strategy for each level becomes pretty boring and repetitive. Holding down A, click and hold right mouse click, move cursor away and press escape gets you an autofire as long as you dont click somewhere so use hotkeys. Maybe even a fast forward button, a bit too long. Nice game if the gameplay could be tweaked.

The first one was awesome, I hope this game is better. I just played it and I think, it sucks. Better then the last in graphics.

@christiger; no, LoTR did not originate the concept of orcs/elves/dwarves per se, but the modern conception of such creatures does, in fact, have it's origins in Tolkien's work.

I've bought upgrades, nothing changed in the game. (Still 2 arrows, still only quire available, etc.) The auto-fire trick of Epic War (1) does not work. :-(

Now if you don't decide to remove the in battle building upgrading another idea I just had is you could add a seperate gathering gold system or something. It's just everything costing mana makes the gameplay far too slow.

great improvement on the first!
siege engines are great idea and building lvl makes it more balanced, but it sucks that u cant tell how much building upgrades cost until you can buy them and it is a bit slow
4/5!!!

Wow needing to upgrade buildings during the battle is so incredibly BAD. It slows this game down to a crawl an makes it boring as ****. Remove that ASAP an make upgrading permanent. Melee units also need to move faster right now the game is about spamming archers. Any other criticism I cant give since I couldn't stomach playing past mission 4.

4/5.
It shouldn't be neccesary to upgrade the upgrades twice, but i think that this game was slightly better than the first one.

like the changes from the first one. There should be a Toggle for the arrows. Just to sit there and hold the "A" or "S" key for an hour is very boring

It's funny how many people can't figure this game out...
Every level beaten gives you experience. You use this experience to get unlock upgrades ON THE LEVEL SELECT SCREEN. When you start a battle you do not have anything unlocked. You must save your mana to unlock your upgrades. (Unfortunately, you cannot see how much mana the upgrades cost.)
I've found the easiest way to win a level is to only upgrade your mana amount (spacebar) until you get to a large maximum amount (2000 in easier levels; higher for harder levels) then buy your upgrades, wait for your mana to get back to max, then spam your units like crazy. It's fun to see your army of ~200 completely annihilate the opponent. :)
