Simple strat for every level. upgrade mana to upgrade tower, focus on mana and tower until you are losing ground to enemy then upgrade barracks to get paladins. buy a paladin and return to mana/tower. get mana to full (9999) then upgrade everything else. use paladins to beat back the enemy with tower. once everything is upgraded load up on cannons and paladins and toss in little units as backup. save your powerups for when you dish out a bunch of damage to the castle as the enemy will summon a titan. Use powerups to kill titan. Probably will have to use super arrow stream to do it so wait until titan is in range of tower to use that one. then do cannons and paladins again with b/u.
The game is not terribly difficult. Auto-fire and the ability to see how much mana you need for an upgrade would be nice

very nice game, was dissapointed when it dropped from the second highest rated game on kongregate to the tenth page of "top rated games" in a couple of hours....

Okay, great concept here. But as some say, "Don't fix it if it ain't broke" the upgrade system was great in the last game: pay exp and get what you want. now, I have to pay mana in-game to get an upgrade I already bought? Fix that, and I'll enjoy this MUCH more.

after having finished the human levels now... i spend the first 5-8 min of each game just getting my mana up, needs to regen faster or get mana for kills or larger bounuses for the upgrade.

This game is simple once you figure out what to do just kill enemies with your arrows and upgrade your mana ALOT its very fun to watch a 50 man army march across the screen after 5 minutes of play time

great game just one suggestion.... autofire. it's a bit boring sticking your finger into a button and leave it there. Either from that seems like a good game

this game is extremely hard after lvl 5 because u go up agianst multiples of guys that have like a bajillion life and u have to up grade to use special abilities

To be honest, not a fan of the whole buying an upgrade and then having to buy it again in battle thing. Possibly the most fun thing about the original was going back and just destroying previous waves with massive upgrades. On this sequel, that's out, which is weak.
Thanks for making it so my arrows don't kill my own guys, that's a big plus! It's definitely more polished, but IMO less fun than the original, which was already a grind-fest.

i looked at the first level and i thought this is crap! Sereously, i mean the first epic war was pretty good, but this one... it has horrible controls, the tower moves like 90 degrees when i even touch the key, and the upgrade system wants to be innovative but stinks to heaven. Sorry but this gets two stars and no more.

great improvement from the first one, i liked this one also, i insist on the game being sometimes a little bit slow for the mana recharging. And for those who say that the upgrade thing is bad, i think its a different way to avoid cheaters to win the game quickly modifying the exp and upgrading all.
Good game!

This is like Metal Gear Solid 2...I can't play it, it's just NOT the first game...1/5. Take it back, polish it, make it suck less in general. PLEASE, for the memory of the first game!

This game sucks much worse than the last one.
Kill enemy with arrows> focus on upgrading manna pool> Get upgrades> build up large amount of mana> Overwhelm the enemy with tons of units. There is seriously no strategy to this game period. Just a big time waster 0/5 stars.

Did you even read your prologue? You can't say that everyone fell under the shadow and then that there were those who resisted. Establishing an absolute and then revoking it mere sentences later is just stupid.

the upgrades you buy should be available from the start of the round. Also you should be able to mouse over the "grayed" icon for more info. As it is you can see anything about them until you have bought the upgrade and built the upgrade >.>;
Epic war 1 is better as the current version stands.

It would be nice if archers actually died when they're supposed to die. they will fire off 1 or 2 shots after they're dead ???????

i think its kind of stupid that you have to buy the uprgade then buy it again during the game. worse than the first. 3/5

As good as the first Epic War was this game is bad.
Repurchasing your upgrades every level is complete and utter crap. I've played 3 levels and am done.

As for people that can't beat the first level: hold off the enemy with your arrows, and keep bosting your mana pool (do this 6~8 times) and then just spam squires. Each unit has its own (progressivly longer) cooldown... the button turns blue again when you can click it. Squires, at least, are super fast to produce, and you can easily swarm the enemy this way for the first several levels.

As for the game... it does get quite repetitious, and it does need an autofire... A good graphic improvement on the first, but having to start over with upgrades each level is a horrible strategy for protracting the length of the game. The game mechanics feel like they would lend themselves much better to shorter bouts, or at least shorter/longer battlefields with obstacles, walls, defensive positions, etc. to mix it up.

Battles can last eternally and its more annoying than "epic". If we just remove that, its a otherwise great game. 3/5.

@BeRzErKeR, christiger; while the concept of elves (faeries) and monsters is quite old, Tolkien actually invented "orks" when he wrote LotR, and the typically tall, pointy-eared elves we see today are his doing too.

the last one was way better the graphic may have not been the best but it was better becuase you bot the items outside the game (way to easy to beet this one)
