Ridiculous. Rated 1 since it has untested battles where 30% percent reduction unleashes an army you just cannot beat. Even though I had a lot of wizards and archer and squires the elven paladins push them back with one blow and archers atop firing on castle.
That set aside, starting from scratch every battle is NOT something I am going to play.

a few tips for the mass hobbits on level 6 (all from personal experience) - as Alemnyr said, Set your arrows to max range(or slightly below) and wait until just before the first enemy gets hit. then spam hobbits (should get around 30 or so from this) and they should easily wipe out the first and second waves. If the enemy's castle has more than 4k HP left when the trebuchet comes, you tend to get raped by it so it might be better to restart if you have less than 30 hobbits attacking the castle.

Actually I found that if I get the crossbow to max range, and I wait to start spamming until the first orc hits my arrows, it works out great. Just kill all the orcs before they make it to your hobbits, so your hobbits don't slow down

That actually rarely works for me(Level 6) I worked out it's best to wait til you have 50 ish mana before spamming but it still doesn't work often (about 20% likelyhood) Anything I might be missing?

I spoke too soon. This only works some of the time. Crossbow the first wave or two, then send in the hobbits. works much better.

Demonjin is absolutely right. Mission 6 is a very quick 6k+ xp. Just start pumping hobbits right from the start, don't even bother using your crossbow, and it's an easy, quick win.
