4/5 - Interesting choice of game mechanics in the sequel. Making the player build up all abilities on each level does indeed fix some of the unbalanced instant-build overpoweredness of the original, but... I can't help but dread needing to build from 100 mana on *every* *single* *level*. I'll have more to say about overall game balance once I've played farther, but I suspect the better option would be to add in incremental bonuses to *starting* mana with each upgrade you buy.

Game seems pretty easy if you know what units to train at the right time, though the enemy seem to have too much money and have an advantage of some sort, with some improvements this could be great. Keep up the work 4/5

Like VampricDeathLord my game glitched on lvl 17. Main map was displayed instead of the battle map. Closed the browser to reload and there was no saved game. :(

only thing i like is that my arrows don't kill my own guys, i hate the fact that you have to rebuy the upgrades every time.

The idea of having to upgrade everything every single level is a bit excessive. It just makes each level MUCH longer than it needs to be. I understand having to upgrade mana each time, otherwise the levels would go too fast, but having to continually upgrade your castle and barracks and tower, etc. just makes the game monotonous, boring, and needlessly difficult.

maybe i havent played through enough of the game, but i dont see why everyone is cryin about this game. the only thing i dont like is how the ranged enemy units sit behind their tower and keep hitting your guys. it makes the first few areas a pain. other than that i think its nice

OK! NOW IM PISSED! i cant start lvl 17 because when i clik the it and finish story the batle is going on. but the map screen isnt going away

Oh and for the people who say there isnt a pause button, yes thats true, there isnt a PAUSE button, but if you click on options,it pauses the game :D

Ive already beaten chapters 1-10, and although i like the challenge,It NEEDS an upgrade to increase mana regen or starting mana or both. Also, cant you just like put an autofire "upgrade" in the store at the cost of xp? Im sure people would be willing to do so. Also the fact that you have to rebuy upgrades is a VERY bad idea,I mean we already bought them, why do we have to continuously rebuy them over and over again,it just gets plain damn annoying after a while. And also for the upgrades,You dont even know unless you memorize, the price to upgrade your buildings! That also is a bad idea. There needs to be an info box like how when you do actually have enough, that it tells you how much you need. I think this is a fun game overall, but all those things hurt it pretty badly for me.I would 5/5 if you fixed a lot of these problems.Otherwise im going to have to sadly rate it 2/5.

WHo called this bad? It is much better than the first w/ three races, but both are long and tediou, i admit. But it's fun and has better gameplay. The new upgrade idea is good, not bad

this is not that hard ppl you say that on the field they are better, but keep in mind that they dont have an intelligent arrow tower firing at your men. basically, i just get 9999 mana then spam units all over them, since the tower protects. later, you might need a new strategy but this one worked great for the first 5 levels

so so much better than 1st thx but still needs some work but the music is better, 4/5 and uit could use some varity in the music but its cool

Are people that stupid? For all the people complaining that you cant use upgrades, the instructions. For those who complain of no pause button, THERE IS! And for those who complain its boring and you cant use other races, play the game longer then the first few levels...

Its definitely more epic... More epic fail, I mean. The other one owned. This one kinda sucks. I thought sequels were suppose to be better then the first one. Well I guess the the same rules don't apply to this game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
wow. EVERYONE is rating it badly because it is hard. the upgrades makes sense. it's like buying a new recipie:it dosen't instantly give you food. you have to COOK IT. it is hard, but good. 4/5 for now, more when API is here.

Seriously guys, The people who have lag, try to close the msn XD, because in my computer the game works perfect and in my opinion, is near to perfect this game, more challenging and with a nice story, 5/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
wow i thought this wud b good... it sucked its boring and u hav 2 waste all your mana 2 upgrade stuff u already upgraded... 2/5

Okay what the hell. Epic War? More like Epic Lag. Every 10 seconds it slows to a near halt for a few seconds, then continues as normal. Also, the autofire glitch has been removed, making every battle a snoozefest of holding down the a key. Also, the bow doesn't reach as far as last time, meaning small groups of enemy soldiers are able to slaughter your own while your arrows fall 10 feet short of them. How can anyone every win a level? Take the things that made the first one good and put them back in here, or the whole game will become a lost cause.

At least the periodic attack waves make life more interesting than the first - I *almost* couldn't go AFK while farming experience. Game was still pathetic, though. Bugs are everywhere - Human Knights level *down* when you upgrade your Barracks, it's near-impossible to view a unit's stats by mousing over them, there's no visible cooldown timer on unit/ability recharges and you can't tell if something's recharging, or you don't have enough mana. Likewise, you can't tell if a building is at the max upgrade level or not, and you don't know how much mana it costs to upgrade structures. Worst of all, the Orcs seem unplayable - trying to select them loads the *same game* in a new window, also on Kong, reloads the game, and *still* blocks the Orcs. Overall, this game is badly designed, especially since the bugs should have been worked out after the *first* game. 1/5. Try play-testing your game next time.

not nearly as good as the first one. in battle upgrades just stretch out the game pointlessly. i had to read a book just to play, because i was getting so bored. make upgrades permanent and it will be a great game.
for now, it's less epic war, and more epic fail
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I didn't like the first one that much, but this one is far worse. What do I have to use more mana to buy something I already upgraded?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I....have nothing much to say but...3/5 best you got....because its more challenge...and i kinda like a challenge..but you have to buy the upgrades which is not that great...so yea...i stick with 3/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Not too bad so far; I like the varied unit types. I note that there are ranks on each level, and it isn't clear how those are determined. Also, knowing in advance what the mana cost of the upgrades are (i.e. mousing over the Archery upgrade to see that it costs 150 mana while the icon is still grayed out) would be very nice, so I don't have to guess.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
what a let down and just tell how much mana it is to upgade instead 0f like 30%. seriously its supposed to be enjoyable
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You have to upgrade your mana pools to enable upgrades for archers and everything else.
It takes a bit to get used to but once you get it it's amazing.
Keep it up!
