I LIKE THIS GAME ALOT NOW THAT I HAVE LEARNT HOW TO PLAY IT. IF U EVER MAKE A NO.4 PLZ MAKE IT SO I CAN HAVE A TURRET BUT STILL HAVE THIS TYPE OF CONTROL OVER MY UNITS. 5/5

no matter how many times i play and beat the game, i think its still one of the most entertaing games on kongregate. =D

0/5 becasue this isnt even epic war anymore, in absolutly no way this is epic war. but if u rate just this game its about 4/5simply because there isnt too much skill involved in this game its advance retreat upgrade spells but in the first 2 u needed to aim and stuff which i preferred, plz try to make epic war 4 (if u do make 1) make it more lyk the first 2

Still one of the best games on Kongregate, I do miss my Catapult however. Spells are nice, but I feel synergy between them is hard to find. As for Revenge waves. They arn't so bad if you retreat right as the horn blows and just drop your spells on the moving mobs.

Little wierd the heroes hair looks like World of warcraft hair, 1 Blood Elf hero, 1 Human hero, 1 Dwarf hero, 1 Draenei hero, a night elf hero and an orc! (Yes I'm a wow player)

@yeeyee: invisible goblin is easy, just make sure that you use fire succubus, centaur, mermaid, dwarf engineer, and goblins. send your hero to the middle to kill goblins and just build up your army and then use fireball to take care of the bombermans. you attack when the unit cap is reached, when you come close to the invisible goblin, use the lightning spell to stun it and also the ice spell to freeze it if necessary. continue attacking and you'll win; don't retreat when the enemy counterattacks

To beat the last challenge, use just spellcasters and spam the phoenix spell.
You can play again to get more cards. You won't get all of them in the first try

ops take off the goblin and the dwarf and take one out of the lightinng or ice out then add black knight and frost giant

i got a good tactic use mermaids succuebs dwarves centueres and goblins with the titan of your choise for some reason i didnt get the witch i think its a glitch so thats my tactic also use the spells metro for the far ranged enemyes like mermaids and witches and lightning and ice are good at the first hit on the enemy casttle the phionx is a must and the poition just in case pile ur troops and attack the last unit is a titan of your choise i reccomend fire

This game would be greatly enhanced if an additional type of card were introduced, static effect cards that modify the battlefield somehow. I'd like to be able to speed up my critter's movement. I would also really dig it if our "hero" dudes actually looked like our player somehow.
It's more of a challenge to butt heads with an opponent with the same abilities and restrictions as you, than have to deal with an opponent with frustratingly unbalanced compensatory capabilities, the cpu has no spells, though I'm not sure why, and so we get to suck the salty junk of an opponent with mass instant rushes and seemingly endless mana and deck slots.
3/5 for lazy enemy

Titans are only good to push me back, I never use them. I'm finding that the best tactic is to hold your forces and hit the enemy castle with everything and all spells charged, try to destroy the castle rather than deal with the entire revenge wave. Phoenix is still good for taking out the entire line, but if you've got fully upgraded cannons and a strong melee force that can take a beating you'll find that your assault on their castle will endure long enough to bring it down before you have to fall back, when phoenix would be most useful.
In terms of strategy, I've had more intricate shits. There's very little about which to be strategic, it's like trying to find a clever way to bust down a brick wall with your face. I want some kind of benefit to expanding, and a reason to defend my bases (rather than just going auto) and I want an opponent who's expanding like I am. This would make a much better multiplayer game.

okay after playing through a few times, I've got a more sophisticated review than "revenge waves blow"
Mind you, they still reek of dickcheese.
I quite enjoy how some units work very well together, and I was genuinely surprised how effective some units turned out to be. I was able to take out two blue dragons and a lord of darkness, not to mention the revenge wave cave 4 hit me with, with frost giants, healing crystal, cannons, succubus and centaurs (w/o phoenix btw ftw).

this game is nice i like it but titans take 2 much mana.....
a nice way to win is to use the phionx(not caves) just gather ur troops once u get the phionx use it it will clear the whole path then u shud only have a few left over heavy troops
