For me, Epic Ward has taken a step back each time. This game was excruciating to play; which I only did for the quest badge.

boss should not be able to hit u once as all your army's attacks shall knock it back.when revenge wave one comes use hercules strength followed by healing. When revenge wave 2 comes use athena's protection. 5 seconds after revenge wave 3 use lightning where the boss is at which should also stun the revenge army. viola! you have won. do it. i will not tell you what you unlock, but it has to do with the greek god Zeus!

stay near ur castle so invisible invinciple goblin dont attack ur castle. Dont use any specials besides the fireball. fireball becauase the enemy only has weak defenders besides boss. when you have a full army in the battle field, leave ur ranged units in the castle and send out ur melee units. at about 3/4 the way to invinciple goblin click forward and ambush the enemy.

my magic was max upgraded: healing, fire ball, hercules strength,athenas protection, phoenix,and lightning.hercules and athena's stuff are important cause they prevent ur guys from dying when the revenge wave comes in. next post will have my tactics

Ok i used green guy as hero since he had the most mana. Here is my selection i used to defeat cave of trial 5. Max upgraded: dragon rider,fire succumbus,mermaid, satyr(archer horseguy), black knights, andwhite abominable snowmans or yetis...

well, the idea is nice, but it's buggy, too easy except for the last 2 levels, and the way commands are given drive you completely crazy. rated 2.

this game cheats last night i saved it lie 100 times and when i gon on now i click on contiune it deosnt work click it like 50 times now i have to do a new game what shit this is

A-hah! I understand now. With the waves that come when the enemy castle is low, you're supposed to have offensive spells to thin them out. I guess all I need to do is go back and forth, capture castle, lose castle, capture castle, a few times until I level up enough to get an attack spell.

Ok. That was an impressive swarm.
I guess it is a little much to expect the computer to spawn units in a manner vaguely similar to the way you do.

very cool tips, ace. yup the cards are fixed! ones there are common among heroes are taurus and bomberman, but there are exclusive ones. e.g. succubus is exclusive to Viegraff, Trevouz only one who gets witch. If...I recall correctly.

Cave 5 really is easy. The invisible goblin can only kill one at a time...so the basic strategy is just to swarm him. Goblin Soldier, Taurus Warrior, and long range.

are you penalized for losing battles? like, instead of staring at the screen and hitting forward over and over, can I let it run in the background and lose a bunch of times for the (albeit reduced) xp and $ gains?

Part 2:
The different hero's only give you a few cards each as you complete a campaign with them. I've leveled up to 30 (max level) with all but one hero, but I am still lacking the witch card (I have all others though).
I don't know if the heroes have a fixed set of cards each, but they do have their own individual max mana and max castle defense. One has 2900 mana at exp level 30, while another has 3200, and so on.

Part 3:
Right now I am using the last hero in the list (Grullborg Grimtooth). He has a max mana of 3500, which I _think_ is the highest of the ones I've used (I didn't pay attention at first, because I didn't know the max mana were different between heroes).
Anyway, 3500 is more than enough to equip some really powerful cards.

Part 4:
What I equipped for cave 5 was:
Dragon Rider, Frost Giant, Mermaid, Black Knight, Healing Crystal and Centaur Archer. All of these were at their level 5 (max upgrade).
The idea was to use a lot of "tank"-type units and shooters that pushed, which would help according to what I'd read about the special goblin in comments.
I equipped the spell cards:
Healing Wave, Hercule's Strength, Meteor Strike, Pheonix Strike and Athena Protection. To keep me covered for when my units got in trouble. All of these were level 5 too, except the strength- and meteor-cards, which were level 4.

Part 5:
With this deck, cave 5 was easy. Actually, my deck was kind of overkill. I totally overran the enemy, and was never in any danger of loosing the battle.
So even if you lack a few of the cards I used, a partial variant of what I used will probably work.
