Why does the invisible goblin pass through 40 of my units without making any harm and attacking directly my castle? Anyways, the idea is very good, this is the only thing what I didn't like.

The way to beat CoT5: use Healing Wave, Freeze trap, Athena, Protection, Phoenix strike. Mermaid, succubus, goblins, centaurs, frozen giant, magic cannons. Use your Hero to kill of the Goblins, and then use all your SPELLS on the invis. Goblin, and protect on your own units, so he can't instant kill them. Keep it alive, it works...(Keeping alive DOES NOT mean SPAM it!)

i would use the commet the centors buy max them out first cuase that the way i would do it and also use cards with high hp like the zombie guys and send in your hero like in the middle so he helps out and then when the hero is low hp pull him back and throw a commet at them but remember max out the commet it does great dmg!

im still on my 6th or 5th castle and it just go insane. i learned how to kill the higher bosses i killed the yetis and the mermiads to get pass or kill higher lvl cards uprade the lower max them out and us the comet card to distory them aswell thats if u got the commet card thing.

Anyone have tips for the final level? I can kill the yellow dinasour, but the revenge attacks just wipe me out .. I can get the castle to around 50% hp

i think so far im on my 6th or 7th castle but i only lost one battle my fist battle at that i didnt read any instructions so for now im stayin
in cattle 6 fighting so i get more points and muny to upgade im not even tryin to win but im on the defensive

Also if you're having trouble, try farming the first few levels. It makes it quite easy once you have new game plus, as you'll already have advanced units and spells, so you can pretty much go do something else and your troops will fend off any enemy attack thrown at them.

Quite a few names seem to be adaptations of LOTR. Morgur (Mordor), Ravndall (Rivendell). Also yes, the creator has used some cliché units, but he has also included some quite innovative and fun ones, to boot.
The only real problem I have with this game is the level cap. 30? Come on, I hit that halfway through, lol.

Well, I think I can officially say I give up after a full day of playing this fine little game. I've tried every tactic on the planet on that Cave-5, but the cloaked goblin blasts my castle every time. He jumps right over my entire army, completely avoiding the mermaid spells and a herd or other foes. I'd rate this game a lot higher if it weren't for Cave-5. That being said, 3/5. I dropped it down due to repetitive gameplay, frustratingly random card rewards, the blatant art theft from World of Warcraft, and a ridiculous "Final level."

A strategy that worked for me was reserving the very powerful spells to crush the counter attack. I retreated when I heard the rallying horn and used my spells the break as much of the issuing hoard as I could, reserving my troops to further damage the enemy castle.

My biggest complaint about this game is the over-exaggerated difficulty curve. It starts out relatively easy, as the beggining of any game should, be, i took my first three castles with almost no resistance, the next two were slightly more difficult, and then moderately challenging, respectively, all in all a good learning curve, but then i attacked my sixth city, and the opposition had this outlandishly more advanced army, with suicide bombers and flame-Wielding succubi, I was simply not prepared for it... but other than that, pretty good so far. : )>

WOOT!!! Completed the Cave of Trial 5!!!
The super goblin is actually quite nooby. It can't take damage and hits 9999999, sure, but the stupid thing about it is that IT GETS AFFECTED BY SPECIAL EFFECTS like explosions, etc.

Thanx for the advice Koraj, unfortunately I dont have that card yet, and none of the three spells I do have will let me target off screen, even the massive meteor at furthest right, doesn't touch em. all that aside, still very much like it :)

Dedwynde, another thing you can do is if you know where they are offscreen, you can get a skill like Comet to snipe em.
