nice :D, beat cave 5 before all others thanks to this thread: here are the must haves to beat Cave 5.Spells:Athena, Phoenix, Hercules, Comet and Healing spell. Troops: Centaurs, Succubus, Mermaids, Witches, goblins and the black knight keep this commnet alive by copy pasting it but since I had Grullborg Grimtooth I had enough mana to replace goblins and black knights by frost giant and dragon rider + i had the lightning bolt card extra it worked out just fine^^
I did this do exactly this and you destroy him, easy, thanksBr34ky, i also did this before the other caves, and got berserker spell card, which is useful for the cave 4 against the big boss.

heres a tip 2 unlock new cards is to play through different characters campaign and if u wwant 2 unlock the titans first u gotta beat 1 of 6 characters campaign (any character) then u unlock the caves of trial which r pretty hard but if u want 2 beat the cave of trial the easiest way is to have Grullborg grimtooth becauase he has the most mana and with more mana is more monster cards and spells

your computer is lagging the same happens to me in toss the turtle let the mouse stay in the same place for a while and it will turn back to normal

My FireFox crashed for some reason...
BAM... all my hard work is gone...
Example is like I was in Turn Phase: 30, didn't save yet, cause I just kept on playing... crash, reboot, Turn phase: 2... LOL...

I hate that invisi-goblin (Trail Cave 5). Finally beat it by a) reading most of the comments on here and b) hitting "retreat" a lot until my army was maxed (except the fire titan, who never actually got to show up!) and c) sending the whole thing (Hero, dragon riders, succubus, Phantom armors, Yeti and Black Knights) to play "knock knock" on the castle while the Lightning bolt spell had the invisi-goblin stunned and my army was protected by Athena. The invisi-goblin had just become a threat again about 5 seconds before the enemy castle fell...
I've still got some heroes to play as, but I've got all the badges now! ^_^

More useful stuff for CoT:
1. Goblins
Goblins can be used as Cannon Fodder. Send them to the Ice Dragon and it will do that ice thing. In the end it only hurts some weak goblins and the magic cannons etc. still shoot at it.
2. Phoenix Strike
The Phoenix Strike attacks all enemies. In CoT are many enemies. So the phoenix kills many enemies. And it also damages the bosses.
3. Heal
A great spell: Low Mana but fantastic effect. It can heal up to 10000 (!) HP, fully upgraded. Use this with your own Titanium Units.

Wow! Trial cave 5 is quite something when you're used to a defensive tactic against those boss monsters. You pretty much can't! The only way to do it is press the attack and destroy the castle before your Athena protection runs out. Must have units: Succubus, magic cannon, witch and mermaid. All their attacks hurt the castle AND the revenge waves coming at you.

You can win CoT 5 by pushing the imp/goblin/frog with attacks back.
Things you should have:
Mermaids, Centaurs, Dwarves, Succubus, Magic Cannon
NEVER TRY TO KILL IT BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT KILL IT

tip use comets to slow enemy waves then send all troops out but not hero use attack to stall time and build revenge wave or as much troops as u can till your first wave is all dead then your wave will destroy the enemy until the revenge wave and do that again with the wave that was building will the revenge wave of yours was rampageing and redo that strategy and remember use use attack spells heres a good combo

An easy way to beat cave 5 is by using: Witch, Mermaid, Succubus, Black Knight, Goblins, Magic Cannons. Spells: Phoenix Strike, Comet Shoot, Healing Wave, Zeus Wrath, Hercule's Strength, Athena Protection. Of course, you need to use Grimtooth while he has max (3500) mana. That little invincible goblin is annoying!! >_<

OMG IVE POSTED 5 COMMENTS ALREADY AND PEOPLE STILL ASK WHY IS THERE NO EPIC WAR 4? IT COMES OUT IN JULY, CHECK THE DEVELOPER'S PROFILE. THE UPDATE IS WRONG. NEXT PERSON TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IT NOT BEING OUT SUPPORTS BESTIALITY.

Finally got around to playing Cave of Trial 5 with every character. You can have any combination of units as long as they are capable of withstanding the initial assault and dealing sufficient damage during the duration of the various spell card effects. IMO the unit combination is not as important as the combination and execution of the Spell Cards. The important cards to have are Athena's Protection, Hercule's Strength, and Lightning Bolt. As you approach the enemy castle (hopefully after clearing the enemy hoardes!) activate Athena's Protection to be invulnerable to the transparent goblin's cleave. Shortly after activating the card and your units begin working on the enemy castle activate Hercule's Strength to deal more damage to it! When the transparent goblin begins moving towards your castle stun it with the Lightning Bolt spell card and you should have won the assault!

If u wanna tip I'd usually always prepare for counter attack this is the first game that brought me to kong so it's easy. Also i would attempt cave of trial wit best units lighting comet and healing spell i beat my first game wit viegraff the red. Now I'm attempting cave of trial 2
