Gotta hand it to you rudy, you make some great games, and this is no exception. This is probably the best flash game I have ever played.

This is how you finish the fifth cave of trials it worked for me first try. 1. Make sure you are Grullborg Grimtooth level 30. 2.Equip the witch, mermaid, centaur, goblin, and black knight for the first deck. 3. Equip the comet strike, Athena protection, phoenix strike, ice trap, double strength, and health in skills deck. 4. When you start keep your hero between your castle and where the enemies bombers are. 5. Keep your hero there until you have all your units. Make SURE you don't attack the super goblin, he will stay where he is if he isn't attacked. 6. When you have all your units at your castle and all you skill cards charged then charge. REMINDERS: don't attack the super goblin until you have all your units, use comet strike on the bombers spot, and go to youtube.com and type in Epic War 3 cave of trial 5 and watch runes video if confused. Copy paste so everyone knows!

lol.. my homepage is favourites, so when i loaded up, I clicked epic war 3 straight away.. I noticed it said "Achievements" at the bottom of my screen, so i scrolled down, and I had all 3 badges, had to go in and save for the easy one.

@TatManTat: Exactly the point. That is VERY BAD game design. If the AI wouldn't cheat it would be way too easy - because it does cheat it gets repetative and dull. Which makes the game crap, because its design is flawed. It has no point.

people need to stop complaining and apply some strategy. This isn't the normal Epic where you just spam units at a certain time and win.
CoT 5... Headache. I used all ranged units that push the invis frog back... Mermaids, witch, dwarf, and succubus, threw the ghost armor and frost giant for fodder. Magic spells I used comet, arrows, lightning bolt, freeze trap, pheonix, and athena's protection.
Hit that frog with everything that stuns or pushes him back because you have to destroy the castle before he makes it to yours. Won't win it without athena protection either, he does max (99999) damage.

wow what a game. i just finish my first time playing through and wow the last battle had have been an hour long. well worth it and great game

This game is crap. That tiny bit of a sort of tactic-like thing that might be required gets destroyed by a awful UI design. So, after you managed to micromanage through every unit that spawned and got the enemy castle low, they cheat, overrunning you up to your base and it starts all over. In later levels that goes on several times a map. And to top it off, it's repetative and dull. 2/5 for trying.

anybody who complains of counter wave shut up!!! how hard would the game be without it not hard at all
+ maybe attack castle slower so u dun get all counterwave at once?

there are a lot of problems with this game.I should get a new card every level up,instead I get it every 4 level up,then the enemy's numbers increase from 10 to 50 in 1 second...and that's game over...At level 13 I have 5 type of monster,while the enemy has 10 type of them...how are we supposed to end this game?????

UGH! I try to make the game slightly faster, to save me some trouble once I've reached level 30, and auto-fight starts auto-losing me. I could win the thing easily, it just takes a good 10 minutes. Annoying.

A little tidbit that you might find useful: If you hit the enemy Hero with a Comet he'll charge right at you. You can do this at the start of the battle to take out the Hero fast and easy

Another really ez way to beat the revenge waves, is to drop the enemy castle to about 75% health, sending the first wave. . . do some hit and run style tactics using your spellls, forward, then retreat as spells charge (thunder-crystal makes a great barrier), then regen ALL UNITS with a thunder crystal and a few archers holding off the rabble spawns from enemy, once everything is fully regenerated, rush the enemy base, cast comet as next revenge comes, and then lightning as the revenge after that wave comes. By keeping hundreds of units inches away from yours via spell blasts, your units should be able to take down the castle in a matter of seconds

i notice if you start as the first guy its easy upgrades are easy and battles are a piece of cake..however...if you start as the last guy it seems thats like "hardcore mode"

nvm i figured it out ( seriously glitched computer) but the unit controls were bad, didnt stay to the story ( WHERE THE HELL WERE THE ARROWS!), and i facerolled this entire thing.

ok then everybody that really hates this game why dont you make a better game that will get more people playing the game make it have an average around 5 stars and make it good enough to get kongregate to give it badges

the control interface is horrible, the enemy spawning is horrible, the card unlocking doesn't work properly (i was lvl4 before my first card unlocked), in short, this is not a fun game

got the last card like 12 hours ago and thought about "hey now the badges can come" and YAY! we got badges ;) thx and keep the good work going

I have no idea how clicking the mouse could be bugged, but pressing the space button isn't all that much more difficult.
Gotta say that the Phoenix spell is overpowered though, I couldn't win the last castle without it, so I had to do everything over again just to get it.
