To beat Cave of Trial 5: Equip Units: Mermaid, Witch, Black Knight, Frost Giant, Phantom Armor, and Magic Cannon. Equip Spells: Athena Protection (Key Card, get by using Grullborg Grimtooth) freeze trap, healing wave, comet shoot, Hercule's strength, & lightning bolt. Strategy: Use comet shoot to bring they enemy Hero out to you to kill him: DO NOT hit the tiny transparent goblin. Keep all of your units back behind the halfway mark. Once Athena Protection is about 3/4ths of the way charged, send out all units. once they are 3/4ths of the way across the map, use Athena Protection & Hercule's strength. This allows you to prevent the High damage the transparent goblin deals & deal as much damage to the enemy castle as possible. Once the counter-waves start coming, use all available attack spells to keep their bombers away from your units. Reward: Berserk card/Zues Wrath - Critical 100% copy this to keep it alive

Even worse than Epic War 2, they really took this game way too far. Epic War one was just that, it was EPIC as f*ck. And these two sequels just suck balls.

yawn. looks like to succeed for the cave of trials, other than the last one (super easy) you have to play again and again and again to build up your mana and gold. sigh.

CoT 5 : play empires from left to right until Abe. Have Army of Goblins 5, Taurus 5, Dwarf 5, Centaur 5, Mermaid 5, Phantom 5. Spells Comet 5, healing 5, freeze 5, Herc 5, Athena 4, Phoenix 5. Total cost 2645 mana. use "0" only, move out army 1 screen from home, keep it there, Hotkey and click the spot. use only comet and healing as they reset, kill range users. build up until MAX army. move forward 1 screen at a time. then 1 screen from the enemy heal, freeze, rush enemy, Herc, Athena, Phoenix. toss comets and heals. all done.

My favorite strategy so far: hit and run. Use cheap units that spawn quickly and then pack the spell side of the deck with the best removal you can find. Wipe the board with lightning storm, ice storm, and/or phoenix strike and then FORWARD, deal a ton of damage and then retreat once the counterattack starts, then play more removal to clear the board again. Repeat as needed.

Grimtooth has more than Gald for sure... I paid attention to all of them except I don't remember viegraf's mana, but i'm pretty sure Grimtooth has the most at 3500

Solid game! Finally a game like this that involves the concept of retreat! You actually do have to pull back units at some times if you hope to survive! I dare say the logistics of this game are artful

for some of the walkthroughs i saw on youtube they avoid hitting the transparent golbin, the shadow golbin that kicks ass, no matter wat

I've been using titans in the CoT. Only one at a time but it is still used. But what is with the insta death in CoT5? I'm doing great, then there is a ping and I lose?

the freaking hero wont listen to me. as soon as hes to the place i tell him to go, he charges right back into battle.

for trial cave 5, i just used all AoE (area of effect) units, and succubus, with healing, invincibility, strength, arrows, and pheonix spells, i used my hero first, then unit stormed until i miraculously won

Ok game 1 was somewhat hard, but 2 was done in 1 hour. After that it is boring to play the same thing again and again and again.

Wow cave 5 took me by surprise.. I didn't even notice the bugger, but yeah.. Beat it on my 2nd attempt. I was expecting some huge demon for the final extra boss, I did lol when I realised what just KO'd me in one hit.
