TIP: Use gobs, dwarf, centaur, mermaid, succubi, and magic cannon (at least lvl 4 or 5) AND have the skills healing wave, comet, pheonix, invincible, hercules, and freeze trap.
TRY: keep your gobs and/or dwarves alive, kill upcoming bombers with comet, when u come near the enemy castle, use invin. and freeze trap, then if if invincible gob tries to escape use pheonix then the rest is up to u *enjoy*

Where is the arrow on the top of the tower? Why cant I upgrade buildings? Why is the battlefield closer to me and the troops bigger? Epic war 3? I don't think so. There was no epicness in this game. In the first two it was epic they had epic music and epic plots. This game is unfortunately almost completely different. (the burger king)
yes i agree there should be a arrow tower butthe building upgrades it's self and the troops move slower so its about even.

To beat cave 5, you need to get the last card, Zeus's Wraith. You need it to kill the invisible goblin.

I hate how everyone says cave of trail 5 is easy.
Sure, its easy, but thats only because you know the strategy to beat it, if you didn't you would have no idea what to do.

To all the naysayers... This game is easy and enjoyable. Might take a bit of grinding. If you are having trouble with it you are making it too complicated and need only look in the mirror. It is there that you will find the problem.

Heroes are really different. Some are stronger, Green has the most mana and all have different unit cards associated with them. There is a lot of strategy in the beginning with the heroes.
Finally beat cave 5.

You get a new card every 4 or so levels. The instructions ingame are wrong. Its NOT every level you gain. Or else Id have like 30 cards by now.. but I only have like 9

revenge waves aren't a problem to me, whenever i start to damage the enemy castle, i click on the phoenix spell since it takes time to get there and then wipes out the revenge waves. also use the hercules spell, athena spell, the zues spell, and the healing spell if necessary

Am I misreading something, or aren't we supposed to get new cards when our hero levels up? He's at level two, but has the same three cards, and I can't find a way to claim a new one.

Autofighting is only a cheap way to defend your castle.. Indeed it is quite fast and efficient if you manage to successfully defend your castle.. But the odds of you doing so is based on random chance and thus, I strongly discourage you from doing so

edit: I was playing the newgrounds vers when I posted the goblins comment... It seems to be underpowered on Kongregate :s

If anyone is having trouble it is most likely due to the revenge waves. The key is to remember that 3 of those waves will be sent as the enemy castle's HP drops. Get their castle down to about 1/3 and then retreat. Take care of the entire revenge wave before you start damaging the castle again. You run into trouble when you do a lot of damage to the castle and get 2 or 3 waves sent. Then you are facing 150+ units.

lol for me.. Goblins are the freaking best. I upgraded em to max and they are the fighting force of the whoel army... They can kill the enemy's hero is under 2 seconds cause of the extremely fast attacks.
