Yo, well I'm in the process of beating the campaign twice. I believe that palmy is correct. But succubus, mermaid, and witches defineatly are essential. Then you need something to slow the enemy down which I think should either be goblins or taurens/tauros w/e. So yea try that out it might work. Btw, magical cannon useful or unuseful? any ideas on that?

I personally don't like it as much, the campaign seems nice, but my enemies frequently just sit there. I like how in the first two I had to build units, and I like the cards this one presents, but the upgrades should behave like the first or second one.

About your tactics for Cave 5 Frost Guard...
I agree with a lot of what you said. However, when I beat that stupid goblin, I did not have the luxury of Athena Protection. Also I do not agree with the use of the tank or the fire succubus. Both have a high chance of flinging the goblin randomly BEHIND your troops. Of course if this happens, your castle is pretty much gone automatically. Instead I would suggest fighters like the Black Knight and Taurus, both who when they connect a hit fling the enemy backwards. Combined with the remaining shooters, the little goblin will not even be able to move! Heck, it reality, the mermaid does 90% of the work...
And to everyone who is struggling to beat the 5th cave, pay attention to what FrostGuard said. Concentrating your spells can be really effective and help you crush that castle!

I'll continue it here. So, after this, DON'T USE ANY SPELL, but when you're near the castle, use hercules' strength and athena protection. The goblin won't do damage, and you will damage the castle. After a while, the protection will go away. Your ghost armors will hold the goblin up for a while, but not forever! It will pass through all of your units, and go towards to the castle. DO NOT RETREAT! Launch a phoenix strike, and a frost trap. Frost trap will come instantly and freeze it for some seconds. After then, the phoenix should come, and take the goblin with itself far away. After this, if the castle of the enemy isn't ruined under the continous attacks, give the goblin a lightning bolt, what will stun it. After this, the enemy's castle should be ruined.

I've just beat Cave of Trials 5. The way is the following.
You will need (all in level 5): All 5 shooters (succubus, mermaid, witch, cannon, centaur) and ghost armor. Spells: phoenix, frost trap, lightning strike, hercules strength, athena protection.
TACTICS: Retreat and gather your armies until everything reached maximum population (with centaurs and ghost armors, near full will be enough). When you got this, attack, but if you've got the meteor spell, blow up the bombers who are standing in halfway between the two castles.

For those wanting to beat CoT 5; just use entirely ranged units. The transparent goblin doesn't fly or teleport and is still vunerable to knock-back attacks. With 5 Witches, 5 Mermaids, and a bunch of other archers it literally can't move forwards. Just make sure you've hit your population limit before crossing the half-way mark, because he won't attack unless you hit him first, so make sure all your units are bombarding him so he can't move forwards. Have Invincibility spare and pick whatever other skill cards you want and you'll beat it without losing a single unit apart from maybe before you reach the castle. ^^

Why does the invisible goblin pass through 40 of my units without making any harm and attacking directly my castle? Anyways, the idea is very good, this is the only thing what I didn't like.

The way to beat CoT5: use Healing Wave, Freeze trap, Athena, Protection, Phoenix strike. Mermaid, succubus, goblins, centaurs, frozen giant, magic cannons. Use your Hero to kill of the Goblins, and then use all your SPELLS on the invis. Goblin, and protect on your own units, so he can't instant kill them. Keep it alive, it works...(Keeping alive DOES NOT mean SPAM it!)

i would use the commet the centors buy max them out first cuase that the way i would do it and also use cards with high hp like the zombie guys and send in your hero like in the middle so he helps out and then when the hero is low hp pull him back and throw a commet at them but remember max out the commet it does great dmg!
