I also like the game.
My thing is, The battles took place off screen.
I had to keep clicking the "Fall Back" to see the battle.

Lvl 16 epic - Viegraff, Kara, Cassandra; Goblins, Mad Bulls, Valkyries, Were-tigers, Mighty Guardians and Phantom Ghosts. All upgraded to level 5, with a level 5 shield&level 5 altar. Assault as soon as the yeti spawns, you should have enough mana for 3 shields. Your units should do enough damage to the epic yeti so it will retreat to heal (but oneshot your entire army first). From then on it's just a matter of time, as soon as you are full on all your troops, assault and keep the shield up. Took me a few tries to say "Screw ranged units and the Titan" but when I went in with melee only, I won it on first try in 5 minutes.

Was almost finished, was in a level with a black creature that resisted everything, so I restarted the game to try out other units and then this happened: The game didn't save my progress, so level 1 again. Well, I ain't gonna do that sorry, other then that, great game!
