Not a fan. Certainly a worthwhile addition to the series but the formula is too repetitive. If you've played 3 you've played 4.

and because of that, instead of 5< upgrades lvl 3>, all exept 2 lvl 5

For challenges 1-3 on epic you need is max shield and max altar (mana). Once your mana is maxed at 400 charge the castle and keep invincible up. It lasts for a little over 45 mana, so casts would be at 400, 365, 330, 295 etc. For the last challenge you don't get the chance to store mana, so leave your heroes behind and charge the castle, all your troops should be enough to stall the monster until you can store up mana.
*Note you do not need and I advise against using titans with this strategy.

Darkstars comment doesnt really work for final stage he gets to close instead of using shield keep spamming timestop. Once your fire titan gets there its all down hill just keep spamming timestop. I used all 4 titans + imps and were tigers. At start you can rush all heros out there, then use timestop once boss comes and call them all back but leave your imps+tigers so he doesnt move much

Anyone else have the problem that they can't access the fourth branch at all. I have a hero and everything under it that I can't get access to . This sucks. I need those units.

just a tip people i think a really effective trio hero's are-your first hero guy on the horse,the arrow chick on horseback,and the other chick on the lizard with the longsword

It's a fundamental problem when the only strategy is "charge the base and keep invincible up." You should be able to beat each level with a real strategy, not something so cheap that players would put the game down if the enemy ever did it.

epic war 3 and 4 doesn't really have any plot but the most fun epic war 1 is actually a good game and epic war 2 is a very good game but it has a lot plot i'm not sure which is the best for me but what i can say is epic war 2 and 4 are tied i just feel that epic war 2 is different from most plot games.

Ugh goblin madness on epic difficulty is so bloody difficult I still haven't managed it. You just get to the point where there are too many black and red goblins coming so normal units are useless as they just die and you don't have the mana to spam enough invinciblilities and the normal green goblins that get fired out stop your mega units from ever moving. Could you adjust this somehow to stop it from just being stupidly difficult?
Other than that though well done good game.

i think instead of introducing a speed up button to ep5 i think they should update this version(ep4) with the speed up button

Lol the shield is game-breaking, but probably the only way to beat a lot of later/epic levels. Yay for linearity. 3/5 because the concept is cool and fun, but it's soooo boring to execute. 4x speed button NAOW!

On the upgrades page, I should be able to get a pop up window for troops or skills that have been allocated. To see the stats for an allocated creature or skill, I need to deallocate it, scroll over it, and then re-equip it.

For having been in development for so long, I would have expected features, maybe a new game mechanic. Instead, less interaction, less fun, and less quality. Truly a disappointment.

You should go back to the card system of ew3 (free units). For 2 reasons: 1. Grinding sux. 2. I had no idea what the unit I bought was gonna turn out like. Because alot of the time the description of a unit was lacking, (e.g. I had no idea that popo was slow or that he dealt ranged dmg that was mainly, but very effective to bosses and castles.) and sometimes the description was just wrong, like the pixi: how does 'non-elemental attack' means healing??

I liked the artwork for the units, and the upgrade system was okay, but there is absolutely, never, ever, a justifiable reason to make a free to play game that requires such a ridiculous investment of time, repeating the same battle over and over. Sure, if we were paying by the minute to play, keep us hooked all day, but this should have been a far faster, snappier affair. Lower the upgrade costs, increase the rewards, and let the players see the game in a couple of hours - not a couple of days.

When Figtheing Lord Baal Use darkstars strategy but use both diablos and fire titan, eventually the diablos will move slightly behind baal and you can send in the sky dragon.... this will lead you to a much shorter game.

1 thing is anyone noticed that after you have compleated level XII save dosent work? everytime i come back to this game it takes me to time that i havent compleated lvl XII. And if someone says "use the save button dummass.." well how many times i gotta save after it really does save?

Actually, there is a time limit! If you use, let's say BESERK, a beserk sign appears on the bottom right-hand corner. Once he disappears, the effect ends. Hope it helps!

epic war four! !!! the same as all the other epic wars, except with less actual interaction, two steps away from being an idle game! Once again proving that a "shiny" game beats a good game on kongregate!!

i rate the game 4/5 the only thing i can see that i dislike about the game is the small amount of units to can have in play ...... there should be more room like each hero can lead 4 unit types
