I apparently have done it AGAIN, I previously beaten the game with 5, then only 4, and now only a hero and 3 troops to use, jeez it was kinda hard, but manageable!

Epic War: The game that LAGS and continues to LAG through every new version 1-5! A great game to begin with, but give this game a miss if you ENJOY playing games without 'LAG'!

Did it again, I managed to beat the game with viegraff with only 4 UNITS. The difficulty between 5 units only and 4 units only is a small but ya can kinda tell difference. It's really Trial 3 that it gets a little tight.

It is significantly harder, if you want a challenge because the game is far too easy, this is probably the one for you lol.

YES!!!!!! I did it! I managed to complete the game with a twist, played with viegraff like normal, but I had managed to beat the game with only 5 units to do the job instead of 6. So it be like black dragon super high dps ranged troops, and goblins or vampires to slow the boss or to heal the dragon to keep it alive.

For the 12th stage I had to rely on the helper angel, then I just stuck my main in the back and used rage until I won. It was just to risky to use him in battle.

Hmmmmmmm for early game Skull Knight's fire volcano 1 is better than viegraff's lightning. Like lightning, not as long however, depends on the game's luck.
Ya can send regular troops up for a sec and timely use 4 of it.
Each one is 25 mana, it does 150 dmg 4 times, plus burn (not 100% chance) for 8 hits of 30 from burn meaning 240 plus 600
600x4=2400 plus burn (regular troops only) in a timely manner, ya could do 5 effectively if each gives burn (840 each which is MORE THAN LIGHTNING at 750) ya could maybe get 4200 damage for 125 mana
Lightning is 250x3= 750 damage per 40 so you're waiting for another 20 for 2250 for 120 while Volcano 1 is 600 per 25. 4.8 is 120 mana for volcano 1 which is 2880 damage. Pretty interesting!

I will tell you an easy (but relatively long) way of beating cave of trials 4 if you need it. Get black dragon (does not have to be upgraded) and put whatever item you want on him. Get vampire with regen spell or hero with regen spell and any other units you want (like white tiger for dealing with enemies behind the dude) and start the level. Wait till you have 100 mana then send your black dragon in front of the angel. send another unit to trigger the black tiger and wait for it. Use regen spell after he hits you at least twice, then keep using the regen spell each time you get 100 mana again. Don't use mana for anything else. After about 3 minutes (on 3x speed) black tiger thing is dead.

Fun games series loved the entire series and wish that i could play them over again without any memory to recreate the memories made from these games.
