As others have said, your units max out relatively quickly and after they're maxxed out all the xp they obtain is rendered useless. This problem is highlighted with your hero unit. Im just about halfway through the trials and my hero unit has ~ 4k of unusable xp. By any chance could we have this excess xp go towards upgrading other units or at least serve a function?

Listen to the words in the music on level 6! It keeps saying "Retro! Sawed-off!... Retro! Sawed-off!" ...Trust me! You WILL hear it too! It's subliminal messaging. With 1,111,111 plays it's no wonder so many kids r using those newbie weapons in Gears 3!
(+) So ppl will see this and stop being tricked into using noob guns

Tips: Build a wall infront of your enemy's leader and summon archers to shoot him down. So the enemy cannot reach you but you can attack them

A tip for you guys, do not summon your hero into battle! Have 4 groups of archers, a group of lousy creatures that are fast and have a high number of pops for the enemy to kill(which takes up time for them to walk to your hero to kill)and you must let them attack but not defend your hero, and a group of creatures that have high power and speed. You can put them in front of your hero to defend or attack the enemy's hero!

This game is horribly cheaped out...
Anyone else notice how the larger (boss) versions look like they've been stretched in MS Paint?
The older epic wars were drawn much better.

Great game. I give it a 4/5. I liked the accessory system, as well as the experience, although I don't like that exp piles up uselessly after you've maxed out a unit. Storyline wasn't particularly bad, and the final battle of the story did have a suitably epic feel. I beat the King of Hell! That was great. Although I find myself stuck on the Fallen Angel extra mission.

hero needs single lvl ups from xp that adds hp and dmg and someking of skill tree thats how it would be better to use hero on later lvls other then dying

I hate the fact that all epic wars EXCEPT 2 has no STORYLINE (epic war 5's isn't that good) and the gameplay has been going down hill. Also he doesn't even have all the slots filled with units in this one for godsake.SO MUCH CAN BE DONE FOR THIS GAME. + this if you agree

After 4 epic wars I was thinking if it's still epic. Then I slap that thought our of my head and just enjoyed the game like everyone should.

This is a fun game, but I do have to say I STILL think Epic War 2 is the best flash game I had ever played, and that was years ago. Any plans to make another like that?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I hope they at least one or a few more epic wars because if they make up to like 10 i might not be the same kind of like Halo (a xbox game) halo 1 and 2 were real fun

be the skull guy from the start, will save u frustration in the future. everyone else just gets worse, except the queen but even then it still takes forever to win a game with her after level like 12

if you dont like this game, then you never were an epic war fan. think you can do better? go make your own game and quit annoying rudy!!

Exp becomes useless for Hero once you hit the trials; hero becomes useless in trials. Seems like there's a pretty simple solution.
Overall, pretty fun, but the series needs something new and exciting. It's getting stale.

I think that the hero still needs more life to survive. You say you've given them more life, but they still die really quickly. Maybe you should give them about 500ish more HP and then add somthing which lets you do basic upgrades on anything at any time (if you have enough exp).
Like, give everything a health boost which permenantly gives them about 10% more health than before and an attack boost which does the same thing to their attack. Also give units a training speed boost which can only be used a few times and heroes could have a regeneration boost which could also only be upgraded a bit. Having things like that would also make the game more strategic, as people would choose the upgrades which suited their style better. Please press + if you agree.

epic ar 3 was good and epic war 4 was great! but this has really bad graphics and the body parts disappear! also, why is it that our 1st newest enemy is a boy with a stick? wtf!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
maybe a better way for upgrades to make bars for health attack skills and such and make something like 10 upgrades for each unit ... with every level a certain amount of bonus ... then u have to put some effort into completly upgrading your units

Epic War 1: This is cool.
Epic War 2: Alright.
Epic War 3: A bit boring.
Epic War 4: Snoozefest.
Epic War 5: You should just stop making Epic War games now.

Doing Tiral 2 is quite hard to attack you need alots of archers and quick done units when the archer destroyed all the building make them attack or stay near hero and the white tiger attacks the giant iron fortress

to beat inferno just utilize the golems spells, he has to stop and destroy walls so build 4 before you aggro him. Then just put hte game on 3x speed, keep attacking him for dps since you cant slow him down, and constantly cast meteor on him, it provides the most damage and if you have 4 walls you'll have enough time to kill him with just that spell.

also make upgrades percentages, not flat attack increases, and make them stack with items too! Trust me it not only makes them more powerful but works better for those units that have odd properties (like the guy pointing out golems have a 50HP upgrade...should instead be 5% or such). If you really want to go this route on upgrading, you should add a bunch more upgrades and then instead of having everything hidden, make it like the FFX ability grid, with spells/buildings having multiple pathways. This will also add a bit of strategic planning to the path you take when playing the normal game before you max out. (ie should you focus on pumping health or attack in order to reach regen)

Yeah I agree with the Best commenters, each subsequent version has felt less 'epic' since 3, and due to how experience and powering up works now you feel a whole lot weaker. I do wish the queen had been in a previous one because her dive is a very nice attack, would cleave through weaklings like phantoms and goblins and the like very fast, + has a long enough range to hit some projectile users. Anyway it feels like everyone is a lot weaker since they only have 1-3 boosts to attack/hp instead of 4 all-around upgrades, and the fact spells are now tied to units may mean technically you MIGHT field more spells, but selection and timing is now more of a hassle, and they can't be upgraded either. Overall everything is a step back. More buildings is a nice touch but the old ones feel weakened as well.
