Can anyone tell mw where i find the first reward from the achievements? I've been looking, and i cant find it! Its the one for beating half the normal levels.

Here's my proposition, make the hero a like what it was in the past EW's because now it's like a suicide button or something. And also bring back the castle, I miss the castle :(

Heroes are completely useless. Especially the skull knight... And when they die in 1-2 shots in the later stages you're better off hiding them back than waste 30minutes in a battle only for them to die in a random shot.

thank you for responding to my comment! Glad that hotkeys will be improved. Yes, I know there is an HP bar near all the icons, but you're asking us to keep our eyes in five places at once already. I've always wondered why you program games so that sprites wander off the map in either direction during battle, and this game doesn't give a good answer.

The changes in graphics are good, and there's more of an effort at plot than in some of the earlier versions, though your games' successes are unrelated to deep plots (and I say that as a fan of EW4 and My Little Army :). Gameplay is mixed - I'm disappointed by the relative lack of hotkey control, which made EW4 such an adrenaline rush, and it's annoying that the end of a fight typically takes the warring heroes off-screen, where I can't cast spells on my hero or see his/her HP bar. Some might call this strategy, as it's avoidable with planning... but, no, it's really just an annoyance. 5/5 despite reservations.
you can see his hp altough you cannot see him at screen, there is hp at his/her icon isnt it ? more hotkeys will be added in next updates. And yes this might call ew4 mix little army

It was fun, not much different than the others though, and probably a bit of a regression. The hero unit is useless cause he gets killed in seconds, ending the battle, so there is no point in even sending him in there. Ranged units are way too dominant as well, just like in the other versions.

A few tweaks that i would like to see:
1. The speed up button should be placed on the battle screen instead of the menu.
2. Adding hotkeys such as 1-7 to select troops.
3. Pressing the hotkeys again deselects the troops.
4. Add a map to the battlefield with your troops/enemies shown, sometimes i dont know how far i am in :o
5. We should be able to lvl up troops in the formation page WITHOUT having to equip them. Its a hassle to equip the troops just to train skills and then removing them.
6. Does pressing z/x affect all the troops on the battle field or only those that i selected?
Thats all i can think for now :D

just went back to play 3 again, firstly, the battle screens were much better in 3, this one is too focuses and not tall or wide enough, doesn't have that epic feel. secondly, no mini map, thirdly, the unit sprites were way better in 3, they moves and changed. now the units here just stand like statues and walk forward. fourthly, mana bar looks way out of place, and so does the menu button during battle scenes. fifthly, some of the attacks are just way too over dramatic, like the wizard guy, the black gushing of magic attack. doesnt look good, doesnt feel good.

what happened? this game does not feel right. its feels childish... Epic war 3 is the bomb. im not sure if il come to like this but not at this moment. base the multiplayer version on epicwar 3 PLEASE

Realise this is a work in progress but it doesn't have the hook of the other EWs. My major problem is most of the "fight" happens off-screen at the very right side! Would be nice if the scroll was improved to allow you to see more, or off-screen units cannot attack.

Next update release : add certain groups retreat or charge, minor bug fix, unit shortcut selection, A and D optional key to move the camera.

Game play seems well done, just for most battles seem dragged out without any effort needed to win. Missing something i cant put my finger on, but i guess a x2/3 game speed or strategy req tactics to win battles would do.

Introduced some nice concepts but it's just not as good as the first one. I've been with the series since the first one so it's probably a case of nostalgia but I just don't get the same feel out of the later games. (Other than the second that was good) 4/5 because it's still a good game.

@d_swabey I'm not a huge fan of the whole EW series, but I understand what you said in your top comment. Bottom line, this dev is talented, and knows how to make a good and fun game that a large population enjoys. Instead of flaming, using constructive criticism allows the developer to improve his ability.
@Rudy_Sudarto You make some awesome games, and we as kongregatianites like to smoother edges and more work put into the User Experience in our games. 4/5 for gameplay and, well epicness. Keep up the good work :D

Never actually enjoyed the series... So perhaps I shouldn't rate... Just not my style of game play. I like to actually feel involved...

wait, i don't see the point to this game. i'm only in the early stages, but is all I do push x to move forward and z to retreat, with some intermittent spells? and this is the 5th one of these already??

Anyone else getting sick of people saying "+if you think this is crap", or "this is sh*t ew4 woz betta"? Reason being that, ok, this game has flaws, that we can see. But to say it's "sh*t", "crap" or any other faecal euphemism is ridiculous. It's not a bad game at all. Compared to a few of the others, which were vast, ground breaking games that embedded EW into Kongregate mentality, fine: It's not as good. But we're still playing it to see what happens. I'm pretty sure it's better than "BEING RAPED", Cozmo... and i'm certain it's better than "Creepy Rider 2".
I'm so tempted to put "+if u agree" at the end of this that I think I might be sick... Also, I think I used too many quote marks.

ok. maybe then you could add the option that 1 click on the charge icon is for units and 2 fast clicks are for the whole army :)? no space needed ^_^

The troop summoning system is a bit clunky, I personally liked the card system better. And, It would be helpful if we could see the troop's stats when we put mouse on top of their icons.

slightly annoying when u click retreat, all of your units retreat. should be able to retreat single classes of units including your hero

Since we are filled with shortcut requests, would it be possible to add a shorcut button to change dinamically from speed x1 to x3 and viceversa; it would be really nice to control the time flow dinamically during a battle, without stopping it.
