Ok i know everyone is all bumbed by this. Dont be. They were obviously trying some new things with this version. They switched from a smooth detail coloring to a cell shading. I personally think they should switch back and forget the cell shading ever happened xD. The actual layout of the game was quite nice. I always like building up my army. HOWEVER. The sounds were annoying. Mainly the heroes. I SWEAR! if i hear 1 more: GO 2 HEELZ >:D i will go freaking bezerk. PLEASE make other ones or none at all because just 1 catch phrase is annoying as eff. The music was fine, im fine with the zooming, all of that was new. EW4 still holds a certain place in my heart especially since i still havent beaten the king demon on Epic and im trying hard for it. ANYWAYS, this game just wasnt exactly what i expected from my good friends is what im saying.

Would it be possible to make it so that when you hover over a unit (both good and bad) you can see the stats and/or health? Other then that, once more an excellent game, keep up the fine work.

I know that EW5 is trying to easily port to the iphones and such but i believe they should have made a seperate game: EW: Portable I or something.

Rudy... u have made amazing games and i will always be a huge fan, and this game is amazing and i apologize for everyone bashing it, its just not as good as the last two. people are needed and had the highest expectaitions anyone could have. main point still an amazing game and i cant wait for more

The game is pretty good itself, although, if we were to be speaking in story-wise, it wouldn't be as good. The other Epic War games were good in story terms and graphics.
And, this game is extremely good and excels in Decency, along with Game play.
I give this game a 5/5 because it is a great series of a side-scrolling action war game.

really? this game has gone completly away from waht the previous games has presented the series, and most of all why the drastic graphics decrease

its good but its nowhere near as good as 4. here's what i like and don't like. I like the new art, I like the new music. I've got no problems with how you controls units or the upgrade screens. What I don't like is how "zoomed in" I am, the characters are way too large on the screen. Also I don't like how shallow this game is. There's no strategy of timing your units and spells like before (where are my spells??), its not very hard to upgrade stuff, battles are really easy. I hate grinding a lot to get ahead in a game but the other EW's required at least a little and it made it good. This seems like a pre-release but the real version is still being developed. I like it, but EW4 still has the crown with 3 a super close second.

I know I am just getting started, but the first three levels I have just sent out all my units and bum rushed the objective. I then go to Kong chat while I wait for victory.

I don't see the negatives in downsizing or changing his game in the series. Yes it's smaller. I used that to my advantage in #4, and It's nice to have more challenge with less room to run away. Every change has perks and downsides.

I am sorry i just think it was a poorly put together game i loved epic war 1,2,3,4 but this one just seemed like a rush to create. You dont need to consider this at all but I just hope you other people like it.

this is terrible. compared to others atleast. i saw this and i was like "OMG EPIC WAR 5 YES!!" and then i play and graphics are terrible, it seems slow, and its just boring

This wont probably be read but I really didnt like this game because its really easy!! I just hit foward and sent my hero back and watched tv! I liked epic war 1&2 because it actually took strategy instead of hitting a few buttons and just leaving. I liked the Castle health and ARROW TOWER yes i admit it I loved the upgrading units and buying them with points and building it all in the level it was AWESOME. I also dont like how your hero is weak and you send him out expecting hes gonna be good but he dies and you lose the level!!! The music is still a little epic but i like the music when I send out an Arch Angel in Epic war 2 and watch him rip the goblins to pieces thats epic music! I played epic war 5 for about an hour and I beat the whole game. It took me atleast 2 days to beat epic war 1 and like 4 days to beat and get the achievements for epic war 2.
