i find it annoying that when you tell your troops to go attack that your main character just keeps going instead of fighting needs to be fixed

I really liked the feature you added where instead of spending gold gained from battles to upgrade units, units instead gain exp. The only complaint I have is that I expected each race to gain different units as they progressed. Overall the game was a nice upgrade

Epic War is one of the most disappointing series on Kongregate. It just keeps floundering without adding anything new, and the graphics seem to be getting worse.

So, I just beat the game... Still missing lots of items on page 3, many units on page 2 and 3, so that means I still don't have the last achievement... So... What's up?
Also, note to all players, REGEN IS OP AND THE ONLY SKILL YOU WILL NEED... Maybe a bit of Ice skill, just to kill those pesky ranged units...
And what's up with hero being so weak? He get's 1 hit from many bosses on Challenge and ALL bosses on Trial, he is useless... It's not like he got huge range that we can keep him behind the lines, even then I wouldn't risk losing to a 1 hit... So, the idea of hero seemed good and only proved to be stupid, since units have spells that tap in the same mana pool.

Oh, another addon to my previous comment today: Put back in an upgrade system for mana regen rate and capacity, and why can we only have 1 duration-type spell (i.e. regeneration, rage, defense boost etc) active on a soldier at a time? Casting a new one overwrites the old one even though the old one has plenty of duration left. This is vital for some maps, and was present in the last two episodes. Seriously guys, where did the quality go?

really need to make s better scale for the hero's all 3 by around the 8th mission can die in a few seconds and tbh on the extra missions i leave my hero in the back all the way cause hes dead weight and a liablity maybe more lvls u can get after the first 3 u get all 9 and it unlocks 1 more set of stuff u can buy for exp or something even if u have to wait until u beat the orginal missions first for this with max upgrades best damage reducing sheild and 100 mana with castle u still cant heal hero fast enuf to keep him alive thats just stupid

I have to say, although fun, this game is somewhat disappointing compared to EW4. By taking out the main castle base and relying on the hero alone you can't take the hero into battle (which was quite fun in previous versions). You also went back to only 1 hero when I found being able to control 3 in the previous episode quite fun. And yes, someone already mentioned it, but that minimap to show where your troops are is extremely useful, put it back in! The experience system at a unit level is definitely more interesting than the basic gold for upgrades, but why can't spells be upgraded directly?

what really annoys me is that when I just want to send a few creatures, they all go, and all the newly spawn go to. I'd like the possibility to send a few archers for example, and keep some other back in the base.

you should make a special lvl for xp after you finish lvl 12 or make normal lvl to give X more xp, make an option for hero when it have less than 35% hp to autouse first aid (hero use mana, if no mana hero can't use spell)

To beat the Absolute Final Bonus Boss: She heals back HP proportional to HP of units she hits (or something along the lines of that), so do not use huge units as she will heal faster than you can damage and just spam masses of high pop (Goblins + Hobbits + Dwarves + Vampires + Archers) against her near your side of border with Rage - this also works as quick grind. On a separate note, I finished everything, but I STILL don't have all units. I have all achievements save for the one that requires you to unlock all units, beat every level, extra level and trial level. Am I missing something?

TIPS to beat everything even the trial 5 : fully upgrade hobbits+goblins+hunters+centaur
with that u can beat everything it's tested and the other 2 free spots u can choose the units u want :D + this so everybody can see it/

the units need to be balanced, i feel like all of my melee units (cept the bigass units you get from the achievements) are totally useless. they die to even the slightest fart of the farthest ranged unit.

Quick note, it would be really nice to scroll through your active groups and be able to equip accessories without having to go back and forth between screens.

I am dissapointed, this is too easy... For the 1st 6 levels, all you need to do is bumrush -_- In the previous ones, it at least took skill.

@ MikeSF yea I tried that stategy that you mentioned, and it looked like it would run well, but after 15 min he got to near to my hero and kill me :(

Strawhatt, the key to beating the Colossus is the speed of his attack animation. You need to have fast movers that respawn quickly (goblins, hobbits, etc) yeah he'll kill them instantly, but if they get back to him before he starts moving, he'll attack again, and again and won't move... then have your ranged guys slowly peck away at him. The hard part is managing all the other monsters that come.
