This seems pretty sloppy and lazy- we need a recharge time on our skills (note that I noticed this all from the first level), better unit selection (dragging) a minimap, more comprehensive unit control, mute and mute music buttons in-battle, etc.

wow. you can change the spell type of some units by adding elemental attacks to them. try adding a thunder element to a witch, it's amazing :D

Send all of your units except the hero forward and turn on 3X speed. Now do that for every main campaign mission so you don't get bored for too long.

Every Epic War game has been progressively more...well, Epic. Another great game guys, and your graphics are getting downright pretty. I can't wait to see how far you go!

OM. now i have got to the same battle three times in a row and every time I loose then back out save and comeback and everything is gone. nothing saves on this game for me and the game seems like it was not finished.

How could you call Viegraf a deadweight in later stages? And I see there are 650 other people agreeing with you.
Viegraft is the best leader out of the 3! You just don't know how to use him. Try using the wall aggressively like put it right in front of enemy range units or use it to cut off the boss's reinforcement units. You could afford to use several walls since it only cost 35 but then again, there is no healing or units coming out of it. IF you want to build those, use your unit spells.

It's too bad that the red stages aren't hard, they just take a loooong time... like the iron golem in the 'go goblins go' stage... it's not hard at all it just takes AGES making me suicide my hero so i can gtfo... This is the first epic war i'm going to rate 4/5 stars... the others are just better.

i would love to see a passive upgrade for all units like maybe multiple items or a small increase in defense/ attack for all unit cause playing thru the whole game my goblins have like 10k exp that i can't use for anything maybe that extra exp could go to something
got to say i like the new changes better to shake things up it is new and not just another make the other games some new of its own

I managed to beat the inferno by running my hero past him, keeping him healed and then running him back to the far left. It takes some unit juggling to pull off.

I liked the other ones to some degree because the earlier 2 presented a challenge and the 4th one had what seemed like promising improvements but considering what the previous games were you can see the same improvement here as the improvement between call of duty games. You know what scratch that, the call of duty developers kept most of the stuff that worked and focused on adding new stuff. This game is just a gutted version of the previous ones.

goblins + ranged units do the job against any melee-boss...even trial-stages....rage the ranged and goblins will do the tanking...especialy with speed-boost-item.
for the ranged bosses (like fortress) i picked all the big guys....shielded them all the time and thatz it.
pretty easy, but a nice game...love the series.

I AM SO HAPPY THAT EPIC WAR 5 IS OUT...I'VE BEEN WAITING YEARS FOR IT XD
I THINK THE GAME IS QUITE GOOD AND THATS BECAUSE THE GRAPHICS HAVE IMPROVED AND THERE IS NO FLIPPING AROUND SO WE CAN KEEP ATTACKING. ALSO IT IS DIFFERENT TO THE PREVIOUS EPIC WARS. THE BAD THING IS THAT IT DOESNT HAVE A REAL STORY LINE...IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AWESOME WITH A GOOD STORY LINE TO MAKE IT MORE INTERESTING.

Colossus is very simple. Have ranged units, and spam the most abundant melee units you can. The colossus has to pause to hit each melee unit. So if hordes of weak melee come at him, he has to stop to hit each of them. Back up the ranged units as he kills the melee. Eventually he will hit an equilibrium near your hero, where the units outnumber how many he can kill. The ranged will just work him down from there. For the Fortress, just get the Black dragon, death, white wolf and back them up with healing. Being careful that the Dragon stays alive. For the 4 devils, make sure you cast a spell to bring 1 forward at a time, then have the same 3 tank creatures burn him down before he gets to your hero. For the very last level, use a similar strategy to colossus. Just make sure you do enough ranged damage because she heals when she hits.

My way of completing trial 5: have your hardest-hitting monsters equipped and give your hero something that gives him lots of hp. Then just send al your units (not hero) at the amazon and watch them do damage. Once the amazon is near your hero, make your hero attack and run past her (use hero's first aid if needed). Once your hero passes the amazon she will follow you to the right side. Once your hero and she are both there, just retreat with your hero. Repeat until you've won!

Another good sequal by Rudy_Sudarto but it could use more stuff, a very big thing that bugs a few people,and me, is that Rudy took off the minimap, but as shown above in the top comments says that Rudy might add the mini-map and other stuff.... Lets all hope for the best.

If you updated this making it where YOU are the hero and YOU get to control him and YOU get to choose between their quick attack and heavy instead of quick then heavy.Also the next epic war should have you being an arrow tower and a hero where you can swap between the tower and hero.That would combine epic war 1 and 2 with 3,4 and 5 bringing in the mighty perfect 4.96 rating epic war 6 with over 7,064,252 plays or something.

Well on one hand it's too easy (just have all your units attack, have as many ranged as possible, and constantly use wall), but on the other hand, I don't have to grind for hours like the previous games.

please make healing abilities and skills heal on a percentage system or something. As is, black dragons are impossible to heal.

I agree with d swabey, the maps are too small, the click and drag got totally demolished, but at least the music is somewhat good. would it be possible to make it so the MOBILE version can have the click and press equip button and that the version that a lot are playing as of computer has the click drag?, even if I'm suggesting something already probably suggested and so obvious. and darkelder, (someone else) brought up a good point, don't have the speed be a menu option. and about the art, the one level I played that I think the art is epic enough, (its called epic war, lol lame pun) is the hellsgate. that king of hell looks B.S.

Barragor's strategy also works on "End of Hope" After 10 attempts, I look at his comment and do colossus, and it works, I decide to see if it would work on End of Hope...and it did

Well the queen seems to be a little bit overpowered, as she stays behind her troops and can regenerate them - she is probably the best choice for a newbie (had no problems finishing the games with her). The buildings dont have enough hitpoints and are to expensive - if you ask me. You should be able to increase the maximum mana by skilling or building.

I have to admit, once the basic missions are completed, the hero becomes more of a nuisance, than a hero. Once you reach that point, you gotta focus more on avoiding getting him killed, than him actually being a valuable asset to the fight. Please make it so the hero either has way more survivability - some kind of leveling system - or make him able to die without the fight being lost. It really ruins the game for me. (and apparantly, for pretty much everyone.)
