i hate how once your hero dies you lose, because it takes away the strategic factor, now all you need to win most levels is to not send your hero

Rudy, you need to go back to the Epic war 2 style, because that game was actually fun and interesting. The new style feels too simplistic and zoomed in

This one was a bit disappointing. I guess it just doesn't have the excitement factor of the previous ones. The action is a bit slow and the only real strategy is to bunch up all your guys and move a step at a time as you mow down everything, at least that's the way it's been through the 'story' portion of it. The interface is also not as easy as it could be. For instance, I couldn't find a way to scroll to the next unit from the equip screen or to toggle from the equip to the skill screen of a single unit.

to deathsnake1992:
one thing you can try that may work is right click on the screen and there may be "forward" in the menu, this problem usually happens whena small bug doesnt allow the game to go to the start menu, if it doesnt work then i dunno

This is a miserable game, and an enormous step down from the past episodes. Why on earth is anyone rating this highly?

I've loved all of the Epic War games. This one came off odd at first, but now I think it is one of the best so far. The animations for the human hero are very impressive and the backgrounds are robust. The worst problem from EW4, to me, was that the units moved from their post. With this corrected the wars feel more like war to me and allow me to actually use some strategies beyond "make huge army, cast invincibility." As for the weak heroes, I think it helps the game a bit. The EW games normally were terrible at the early levels, but now the heroes speed it up and then eventually turn into a VIP to protect. They still participate in the wars after all, my hero is spending most of my battles power casting shields and walls for me. In short, very good improvements 5/5

Easiest way to level your troops while your away or if your bored do mission 11-primal beast you need 2 units, one with a lot of health (i use golem) and 2 a range class (spears preferably) the rest use whatever you want, put the golem a little in front and make sure you have the pheonix badge in so he can regain health. If your spearmen have the platinum sword and have all upgrades they will probably 1 hit kill most of the monsters and with the golem protecting them the monsters keep running in which lets you get 1xp per monster average exp is about 1000 per 30 minutes or so

oh and by the way everyone queen is pretty easy to use as her regen spell is a % of hp so it comes really in handy when you get some of the strong monsters like the wolf black dragon death etc

well it has already been said before artwork was a little bit of a letdown compared to others but still good nice to see some new monsters and new options to put accesorys on your monsters heroes need to a little bit stronger late into the game because they just get like 3 shotted maybe they get a health buff later on or somthing and maybe a button which stops your units in place rather then selecting all of them or makign them retreat or move forward but apart from that 5/5

i have a problem, why doesn't the scroll bars on the side of the screen go all the way down to the bottum of the screen?

if you are having trouble with some of the trial levels than just look at my past comments about how to beat some of them.

I don't like that when you stun an enemy (like with the thunder spell), their hp bar becomes solid, you can't tell how much damage you are doing. Need to make it like the status effects on allied units, just tinted a color.

I like the little details you added. Specifically I was amused when I saw 2 of my hobbits running at different speeds side by side. It's the little things that count.

i just realized that if you give magic units a rune like if you give a witch the thunder rune it will change their attack completely
