just a little tip for all you epic war lovers who have probably spent a good few hours on this game, if you click the menu button when your in a game you can speed up to x3. hope you didnt spend 3hours before noticing it like i did...

No seriously, what is up with these bosses. They have way too much hp. Lovely how one gets to the boss in 5 minutes but it takes minimum of 30 minutes to kill the boss. It's not like the bosses are hard, I regain enough mana to keep my dragon alive indefinitely with my regen spell. It is just tedious and annoying. And tone down that iron fortress, which would be more appropriately named "FPS Killer".

Animations aren't too much improved since the last EW. That's about the only thing I can complain about though. I like the new upgrade system where you upgrade individual units based on how much experience they get instead of a total experience gained after each match. Maybe one day this could turn into a console/xbox arcade game?

The golem is too slow. I mean really. There's, "Oh this is a slow unit, I'd better take that into account." Then there's, "Ooops, the thing he swung at died before he could connect." And that's IF you wait the extra 5 minutes waiting for him to get up to the fight....

The art does indeed look better, but thats about it. The animations and the gameplay seems like a straight downgrade from the other Epic Wars. Call me OCD, but some parts of the game just seems...Basic and clunky in terms of presentation. I'm not trying to say Epic War sucks, but this indeed goes on the bottom of my list compared to the previous ones.

The poison fog dosn't actually poison the enemy making the Hell Raider kinda crappy. Which sux cause he's so cool looking.

Guys, you gave them what you wanted to be in EW5, and they did it. speed-up button, units not charging forward when not told to, etc. But I do think you should replace the bit with getting armor pieces from beating levels towards getting money and spending it on that and spell upgrades once you unlock them from a unit.

I was enjoying this game a lot until I went for lunch, came back and realized my game hadn't saved. Neither my cookies or my cache have been cleared so I don't know what the issue is. I've verified that several of my other saved games are working on kongregate as well. What's the deal with that? That tells me either the game bugged or doesn't have a save feature but given all the other Epic War games saved no problem (I still have saves from 3 and 4) I doubt that's it. Having to start over after an hour and a half worth of playtime because the save feature bugged out or something is not acceptable. 1/5

Well, in my opinion I do think EW 5 includes many improvements.
The graphics are fine, don't know why people should have a problem with it.
Rudy Sudarto fixed the thing critisized strongly in EW 4: units really just go as far as they are told to and don't go rampage and die on their own, which is very helpful for your strategies.
The gameplay is more dynamic, the skill-based upgrades for your units instead of level-based upgrades offer more variety and the possibility to build small buildings but therefore more and with different abilities also offers the opportunity to become more creative in your strategies.
All in all, Rudy Sudarto listened to our comments and critics and did well optimizing the game.

hmmm dont like this one; the hero is useless, you can win many maps without seeing the game (send everyone except the hero who can die in one hit, and wait ....) no magic; experience ??

DAMN IT!!!!! I keep almost winning battles, but then my hero randomly comes up and joins in just to die in two swings. The hero is USELESS!!!!!

5/5 but i think a second slot for accessories would make the game better. you have all of these different things but can only employ 7 of them at once. Just think it would had to the strategy and also you could mix and match to your pleasure

Sooooo, leave the hero behind, send in one tank and all the rest of the units are ranged, then cast wall exclusively and you can beat every level? More of a grind than a strategy game :(

been following this series before Epic War 1 came out and art logic just came out with one game.........this fells weird to say this but it feels like im watching a game grow up

the progression of quality of these games from worst to best is 5, 4, 3, 1, 2. Every game just gets more and more rushed. Listen to your fans and actually improve on the games, not what you think it should be, and what people should like. listen to what they actually like through their comments. autospawn sucks so much. this game is boring by level 2.

I've only played as Viegraf so far but in the later stages, having him fight is a liability since he can get killed really quickly at times. He was really strong for the early levels but I think the heroes need to scale better throughout the game because it's too risky having him fight so he's more or less deadweight.

Current spell system interface is not ok.
Why you should select unit then spell ? I think that separate bar with all available (or selectable before battle) spells and buildings will be better.
Also I like changes like towers etc

Epic War 4 was better because:
1.i like to buy units so i don´t have to wait as long for a special unit i want
2.its a bit too rpg style . these skills and equip isn´t soo good for epic war (I WANT MAGIC :.( *sad face* )
3.the new hero system its better for me to have 3 heros i like this more than one
4. i don´t know

the blood is TERRIBLE animated, it looks like something made on paint -_- it doesn't seem like you actually TRIED to make it good -_- i suck at things like that, but even I could make it better

Nice graphics. In-game. Outside... The menus are quite rough, and the pics of the units do have that stretched look. That scared me in the start.
But hey, this is EW, might as well give it a look, I thought. And it's a great game! The units and stages are well-built, the new spell system is great (not the selection of the spells, oh no. Clicking the right unit in the midlle of the battle may be a lil' disconfortable when you are accostumed to hotkeys.), the upgrades of the units are way more consistent this time around, and I CAN STILL GRIND!
As @d_swabey, I too feel that this should be a better game, all right. Especially in the "bland story" topic. You give us EW2, with a great storyline, filled with text cutscenes, and then this? I mean, really. What a buzzkill. And you changed Viegraff's portrait.
