I'd like the option to remove my hero from the game please. They're simply just a waste of space - Their weak, have low health and if they die, we lose. The end result is we leave them behind while our troops do the work. Also, could you make Hot Demon Party a bit easier? Because if we dont kill it before it get nears our back, we lose....and it spins through our troops, killing them and moving at the same time...

i must admit some of the earlier epic war games were better for map sizes and things like that but this is such a good game and i think this games music is the best one because the other games music can get annoying after a while but this one i could listen to for hours i must say some of the earlier epic wars were better but i also respect that face that it is bloody hard to make any game that goes along the lines of the epic war saga

It would be great if you could make it easier to access spells whilst engaged in combat.
Instead of having to click on the unit picture we should at least be able to use the hotkeys for unit selection.
Also the whole having to push space after selecting a spell I find to be a tad tiresome.
Mayhaps just giving the spells the some sort of hotkey pattern.

I find that it's graphics have gone downhill, but it's upgrade sytem is better.
However i feel it is not as good as the others.

I can see what are you trying to implement into the game....but somehow you kinda scale down the game, the graphics is awesome....I love it....but gameplay wise....I prefer EW4's gameplay more than this, the upgrades seems dull and you scaled down the number of units we can bring to the field unlike EW4 still its a good game just that it's not what I had in mind

I have mixed reaction. I believe there were several improvements made, mostly around some issues in #4. The troops are stronger and don't have to hide behind your heroes, but the heroes have weakened to less-than heroic strength. The troops also (thank GOD) stay where you put or return to that post when they finish fighting someone in melee, fixing one of the biggest complaints from Epic War 4. I think it is also better to upgrade your units in individual trees, that way you don't "spend" resources on a unit that you only use once that you could have you used on another. The difficulty curve is not as steep as the previous games, although some may consider this a drawback. The problem, though, is that the player has less of an influence on the battlefield, because the spells are available rarely. Two steps forward, one step back; it's just the step back is more obvious than the two forward. This may not have been the 5/5 game fans expected, but it's still worth the hours.

The win condition needs to be tweaked. I don't bother to touch my hero at all for most of the maps. I just "click unit, click furthest point to the right I can click, repeat with next unit, wait, win" for most of the scenarios. The only place where I actually used my hero was the second last map, where the objective actually managed to reach my starting point. Even then, he was nearly dead by then, and my hero easily took care of him. The rest of the maps, my hero was sitting there. Even the last campaign map. I haven't touched the extra stages though.

I preferred it when the units were smaller. It gave a sense of distance between the player and the units, like the player was holed up in the castle (which has also gone but I'll get to that later). With the bigger units and the smaller maps it gives a sense of the player being in the war and almost attaches the player emotionally and personally with the units which doesn't really help when maneuvering them around or when they die.
I feel that the castle was an iconic part of the game. In the first three games the castle had that massive crossbow which I absolutely loved for its lunacy and usefulness in the game. It was strong enough to kill most of the weaker units but not too strong that they get mowed down.
With the castle there it gave a sense of a more defensive game rather than a hero travelling with a small army. With no castle it doesn't explain where the units come from when they turn up.
I know you can’t fix any of these but keep them in mind for anything in the future.

So I cast the tornado spell, expecting ... I don't know.
I do know what I got. I got a toad whose burps are apparently toxic and purple.
Would not buy again.

ok here is an idea: after we defeat the enemy, we should be able to ask them to join our army. thumbs up if you agree

You should combine Epic war 2 (for the arrow tower and levels) Epic war 4 (for the battle style and unit and hero selection and management) and Epic war 5 (for how the characters react in battle).

Pros:
1: Health bar and damage system
2: Upgrade system for units and hero
3: Longer maps
4: Structures
Cons:
1: By what I hear it was not intended for a desktop
2: It is lacking the flipping in the air 'epicness'
3: It is missing the mini map
4: Cartoon graphics, nothing really blends into the background which should move a bit
5: Could be bigger in terms of number of levels, upgrades and number of heroes.
I am grading it as it was released here, as a internet computer game. In this format it is missing some functionality and complexity. As a mobile device game it would work very nicely. 5/5. As a regular online game, 4/5. Thank you for another great installment of epic war, I look forward to the next one meant for a Desktop/Laptop.

I'm a fan of the previous versions, and I agree with @d_swabey. I was disappointed in the reduced features in this version. I miss the bar that shows where the units were currently located across the map. It's also considerably more difficult to compare the features of each unit when composing your team. I understand from your response that you wanted to make a game that's easily ported to a mobile device. It might be a great game on the iPhone, but it's only a pretty good game to play on a computer.

Add more updates to heroes becouse in extra stages(after completed story) they are totally useless,or just make new heroes that may be rewarded from missions like on epic war 4.

Overall a good game, but it is way too easy to move your hero into a vulnerable position by clicking an instant before the spell you wanted to cast comes up. I've lost levels because my hero appeared in range when I thought they were safely in the back. Just a gripe about the positioning of the spell buttons, I suppose.

Okay I liked the past epic war, and as many on your profile have stated, this isnt epic war but rather my little army. Now that wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt for one thing, the hero death. For the first few levels your heros your deciding unit, but end game with all upgrade your hero sucks something fierce, plus (s)he dies in one hit and thus ends your game. Thus its actually better to send your entire army forward and forget about your hero except to cast spells every so often. And in many of the extra and trial levels it becomes you sitting for twenty five minutes as your army slowly crawls forward. ----- Please for the next game do a true epic war, look at the first four and remember what made them best. One and twos towers, the unit management of three and four (this ones okay in that respect) and focus on the story like the originals, this ones story was...well bland bordering non-existant.

the animations are awesome, smoother than previous versions. But the gameplay has gotten worse, the storyline is contrived, the battles are easy, and there is no strategy needed whatsoever. It is basically an interactive screensaver.

i gave a 5/5 to all the other epic war games..
this one sucks though. this is such a lazy effort. i seriously hope this game doesnt get badges, but you just know that it is going too.
maybe ill play it when it does just for completion, but this game is the worst in the series by far.

wow great game! certainly worth the long wait, and what a difficulty curve! one minuete your beating just an ogre then there average ez units! got to trials but i had to stop.

The spell that you have should appear on a bar somewhere on the screen, it's kinda frustating having to find that one unit that will save your whole army with it's spell.

Odd, Hercule's Grip says Damage +50%, Health +50%. When i try to add it to the Black Dragon, current health 10500, attack 400, it gives +2625 Health, and +100 Attack, half of what I should be getting.

if you are stuck on the fire infernal guy level up rock golem and unlock wall or just any creature that can use wall and save all your energy and keep putting up walls infront of him so he doesnt destroy ur team. also stack a few ranged units to take him down.
