Having just played this game for hours I can see it is another well made enjoyable game. If anything the graphics have improved each game and this one is no different the maps look epic and so do all the units (at least the ones ive unlocked and fought). If the game is still in its beta testing then more buttons would be good, like a attack, retreat, hold position. But overall another great game in the series Nice work.

After completing it all I feel kind of "empty". There's new units and items I got that won't be used. These "block" abilities of some units could be very well used for extra challenges. Hard ones. Also, I wasn't very comfortable with the upgrades: imho it encourages to either go with brand new units or to leave the game running and then finishing it (->too much idle in my opinion). And the last thing that comes into my mind is the hero: if it's killed, the game is lost, so it's position throughout the whole game was the same, like a background tree (that casts spells).

Finally made it to the end. I still seem to be missing 2 units on the final page, and the Hercules Gauntlet, Turtle Shell, and Super Robo Suit all give a lower bonus than they say they will (Half for the Turtle and Hercules, and a quarter for the Robo Suit, though it does take away the correct amount of damage). Overall, still the same, though I have to say I enjoyed 3 and 4 more.

@batias (Trial 1): Did you see, that he stops walking, when theres a unit/building in his way? Well, that's his weakness. Try Hero/Black Dragon/Goblin/Little Hobbit/Succubus/Elderly Wizard/Witch (That's, what I have used). Give "Omega Seal" to the dragon and "Platinum Sword"s to the mage classes, since the giant has magic as its' weakness. Goblin should get "Portable Mjolnir" for buildings and hobbit "Ring of Strike" for the giants attack. It's important to NOT use your Hero in the battle, if he's a melee class. Use the dragons' or heroes' "Rage" spell to maximize the damage. Since both goblin and hobbit have a population cap of 16, you will be able to always stop the giant from moving towards your hero. Always select and keep your mage classes in an appropriate distance, so they can attack and survive the battle. Go on, until the giant is dead. And one more thing: He has A LOT of hp.

This game does not 'feel' like a continuation of the Epic War series. The gear system doesn't fit nearly as well, the heroes suck. I spend most of my mana healing the hero with self heal to make it a viable frontline fighter, then running away. Any emplaced building is either destroyed on the front lines, or ineffective in the back lines once units advance. The old spell system was fun, keep at it, your previous work was exemplary and this is average.

There is a script error in the battle against Inferno. The units (like the Golem or the Werewolf) ignore him completely (apart from going to the right of all to fight against weak units) and the hero is immeasurably vulnerable.

personally i think this game was at its prime at epic war 2, it just went down hill after that, the loss of the arrow tower was horrible, as well as pretty much everything there was in epic war 2, i think the "march" and "retreat" buttons are nice, but.....doesnt really come in handy, i can beat the game EVERY mission, without using the retreat button, in NONE of the epic wars have i needed it

When I first saw this I was like "No way that's too good to be true." Then I pulled it up and I was like "O_O", then as I played it I was like "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

So far i like it but it may be short as the others... but if so i hope i realy enjoy what i will play.
I also realy like the speedx3 button in the menu

actually this game is easier without heros...
or without doing anything....
just stack your army, send them off and keep you hero at base...
worked even with the finalboss, with the little twist of my army needed to be restacked at base ONE TIMe for the first time in base.... no heros, no items, no spellusing, not even looking.
you guys may wanna rework some things:
much higher itemscaling for them to be worth something
much earlier enemy attacks, bossattack without activation
3x speed ingame, not in the menu

Did a 10 minute fight, well i didn't get 10 exp.... but getting 22 exp still sucks a lot.... On Vilgraf the red, make him stop moving once he reaches enemies, he gets annoying. Still enjoy the game.... 4/5 but 5/5 once bugs are done

I've always been a big fan of the Epic War games, but, honestly, this one feels more like a simulation than a game. You just press charge and then wait until you win. The first and second games are probably my favorites in the series because they felt more involved. The battles felt more intense and fast paced. I'm not sure if it was the method of deploying the units, or something else, or if I'm totally off-base, and just growing out of the series.

a slower reproduction time would make it a bigger challenge for some people, maybe that would excite them more, i know it would excite me more. just saying, but still 5/5.

I wish that when you unlock a spell from a unit ability it would appear across the top or bottom so it would be easy to find and use spells.

you guys were lazy with the "boss monsters". you just took the regular image and largened it then added more health and damage and didnt even re-pixelate it. plz fix

I love this game series especially epic war 1 and 2. Could you please make one like the first 2. plus the graphics aren't as good

~~EW4 : complexified then upgrade system, you had to choose what to level and what not to. Also added relation between heroes and units. Basically the same as EW2, without towers, but more epic in all ways.
~~EW5 (aka ewww) : Basically, you tried to add identity to the game. You are the hero controlling your troops. So if you die, you can't go on and you can equip your troops with accessories. However, what this game lacks is the epicness of prior games... scenes aren't as badass anymore, there is no (or really few) new units/spells. Strategies are still the same (tank with "hobbits", DPS with range), you made offensive magics useless due to enormous mana cost... you added magics to the units, but your hero cast them and the effect is the same if there is 16 or 0 of them out there. You allowed us to summon buildings, which are useless. removed the difficulty, I actually had trouble with only 1 or 2 scenarios in the whole 19 levels.

I would like to say epic game... however this game didn't attract me that much...
First of all, I agree with D_swabey, you really "created" a genre and continued to set the standards up until now, here is in my opinion the actual development :
~~EW1 : created a new genre where an enormous army kills endless spawn of evil doers. Simple upgrades, simple creature selection, really simple spells, interesting storyline.
~~EW2 : added the feeling of invasion where you had to upgraqde your outpost to dish out better damages, also better spell system. Also allowed you to actually choose what level to do.
~~EW3 : removed the tower (I think it's for the best, towers were OP), added hero choice, and pseudo-random loots, also changed from an invasion scenario to a total war scenario. IMO graphics became epic at this point. Also the first one with revenge waves IIRC.

Damn... I can't beat the trials. Tried the first trial... did my best, but my best wasn't enough. The Collosus ended up 1 hitting my hero and 3 hitting my best units without much effort. Heroes are entirely useless late game. I'd honestly rather replace heroes with hobbits just so I have more meat shields. Oh well I still had fun so 5/5.
