Overall, I don't feel that the art is better or worse than previous games. However, I wonder if the reason people feel this is the way certain sprites were reused and enlarged for "special enemies". I have noticed it with the devil imp, the big centaur and the big Anubis guard. The Anubis guard was very pixely, resulting in a blurry impression.

What happened to the arrow tower? That was my favorite part of the first one, and it seems to have gotten weaker since then, and now it's gone.

Its "ok" by normal game standards, but absolute garbage by EW standards. Guess every game has its bastard child :p Heres to EW6 being better.

There's very little challenge here, since unlike in previous versions of this game there's very pressure from the AI.

i find this pretty interesting on how you can upgrade the units, i like it. but what about the 2 castle thing. heros are cool. but i prefere a full out epic war

you pick the hell side.... and you end up being an ally with an angel while trying to destroy hell......something is wrong with this picture

love the game although i believe ew4 was a bit better, main thing is that i think there should be sepeerate quests for each hero

I can't seem to get the unit between "Iron Fortress" and "Black Dragon" from anywhere and so I can't get the "Absolute Tyrant" achievement. the unit might be "Earth Dragon" from one of the levels boss's (that's the only one I can think of). any hints on this? is this a bug? I do remember some levels didn't unlock a new unit type.

The only problem i have with this game is that sending everything to front includes the hero, late game the hero sucks. He gets killed in one hit, if for some reason you send everyone forward and forget to send him back you lose, and without warning. very frustrating, and the only thing keeping it a 5/5 for me.

I'm getting really pissed off that my hero keeps deciding to randomly move forward on that typhoon guy stage and dying without me telling him too. Major flaw.

Ok you want your groups to look like this, spawn class, three range, two heavy infantry. Spawn class gets shield, range gets swords, heavy get armor. Hero gets whatever you prefer. Do each level enough times to always have your units carrying the latest, and you will never lose.

Idk, I don't necessarily think that the art is "not as good", but for some reason it feels...idk...less epic? maybe that's it. It feels less dark and ominous, which I personally thought was a plus in the older versions, I think that that may be it. It's not really worse I think, I just think maybe it doesn't fit quite as well. As far as the gameplay goes, while I honestly did like the idea of having a castle a little better than having just a hero, and the previous simplicity of upgrades made everything a little less intimidating, I can see how this would make more sense first off, and as far as the exp and leveling thing goes, before it kind of was just mindlessly "well, put more money into it and it gets better." where as now it take a little more thought than just make money -> level up units -> make more money -> repeat. Also, lol, my minotaurs totally be bodyslammin' people and stuff. It's pretty funny.

the more i play this the more i like it :D but i now don't like the upgrade system, cuz it goes fast to upgrade everything on them. but still, you have gone FAR away from the other games! that's for sure!

could you add like a timer for rage and stuff like i rem when you used buffs before there was a timer showing how long they lasted that was a good add on

A couple of suggestions: I like the concept of equippable items, but I would add more items and a range of possible benefits, such as the ability to cast spells outside of your class tree. Also, it would be great if there were random side quests where you would have the chance to find unique items (where you can only get one copy). I felt that the monsters also leveled up faster in this game (and thus tapped out on their usefulness) more quickly and with less substantive effect for each level, than in prior games. Overall, a nice game in beta! Thanks for the great games.

Inferno Strat: Heavy range (archers, centi, wizard, witch) golem and w/e else. Clear to Inferno, cast wall in front of him as mana allows. Repeat till dead.

I miss my fortress letting me to fight with my team, but great game,
just hated the fact that actually let the hero without move, is better than really use it
