Getting established took a while, but once you've maxed everything it becomes fairly straightforward, great game though

Actually 9999 mana. Send all the hobbits you can. Even elves if needed. Wizards help a bit and Dwarves are just useless. Just send all the angels and somtimes dragons. And keep firing. I didn't even get hurt.

As you have like 8000 mana ready when the boss comes you need to summon as much hobbits as possible. Along with a few angels all fully upgraded. The hobbits keep the boss at bay as long as possible

I can't beat the boss, I try to upgrade as fast as possible to get dragons and angels but the boss just has too much health? Any advice?

I would give it 4 stars except for the fallowing flaws: NEEDS A FULL MUTE!!! I hit the sound button in hope that it will turn of the sound, it only effects the music. the game gets rather repetitive from level 5-14. It has very little strategy as soon as the first arrow type has been maxed out. 3/5

just upgrade all your arrows and auto shoot u own and wait for like 30 mintues and u got a bunch of exp then just buy and upgrade dargons and mana'

the end is easy!!
its so obvious heres some step by step instructions to kill it:
first off make sure to have everything at full level before fight, if u need more xp go back and replay lvls.
Second: when in the actual fight wait until u have 9999 mana before trying to kill it. make full fortifications on castle, and try to kill most enemys with arrows.
Third: when fighting the end make sure to send in lots of hobbits. Shut up i know ur laughing, but it keeps it from moving while its charging. make sure its within arrows reach before doing this though. Use angels, dragons, and golems only as units that actually fight it(not counting hobbits)

It's quite easy to rech level 15, but finally needed two efforts to beat the big boss. Got bored beetween level 4 and 14^^

Three tricks to beating the end:
1. Constantly send hobbits at him. They die of course, but he has to stop to kill them, so he approaches a little slower, so you can hit him with more arrows.
2. Make sure you have all of the defense upgrades (shield, trap, turret)
3. Fire arrows constantly by holding down each button, then clicking outside the game or the browser.

Until the end boss actually has balanced game play this game still gets a low rating. The modifications that have been done in the patch are welcome changes, and add greatly to the enjoyment of the game, so that's an excellent start. The game balance is the only thing that needs work. The entire game is very well done up until the ending, the imbalance in last boss just completely ruins an otherwise very enjoyable gaming experience.

Nice game, but even though the little blue troll thing is stronger then hobbits... it should not be able to take out 25 of them without a scratch

kinda pissed because i had the end down to 500 hp then my explorer unexpectedly quit.......which made me go ape on it

To those killing their fingers beating the final boss, here's a helpful tip I was given: I don't know if this is intentional or not, but if you hold down the arrow firing keys, and then click with your mouse somewhere outside the flash game (chat window, etc), the arrows will start auto-firing. It went from me cursing the game to The End not hitting my castle. It probably trivializes the rest of the game, though :(

I surrender. I've tried dozens of times at beating The End. I just cannot find a way to do sufficient damage to it to win. The arrows just pass through him, ground troops can't even get near it, nothing else has the damage/second to even come close. I chose the wrong side. I should have joined "them". heh. A very engaging game, indeed.

the games all right not the best and quite a big copy over from bowmaster prelude. however when did an angle, a golem, a blue dragon, a demon or a red dragon every appear in lord of the rings
