Upgrading starting mana means you can use the in-mission skill to upgrade your mana max / regen rate fewer total times. It is very soon into the mission you wish you hadn't purchased that ability.

One single slow or wrong decision in the early seconds of the game will screw the rest of your game entirely. Easy badge is not easy.

Among the various other quirky problems with the UI design, the slider to scroll down screen and see what your units are doing there, is located underneath the display for unit production. If you have that que full up with units to build, the scroll arrow doesn't respond very well.

Definitely killed more than 500 by now for this kongpanion badge and it remains stuck at 359, despite saving, loading, reloading, battling, getting very aggravated. My chrome is already set up just right.

All things considered a very fun game. The start of each level needs a little focus but after about a minute into each level it feels super slow. I feel a speed slider/multiplyer would be a good addition.
From day 1-6 I just went pure zergling rush (weakest unit spawned like crazy). It may have worked for 7 too but by then I had the dragon unlocked so i mixed them in here and there. Same with level 8, started zergling rush and finished off with dragons. So maybe a little re-balancing is called for.

I just have to point out, for everyone criticizing the game, please be aware that this game was made in 2008, the game didn't age the greatest but still an overall fun game considering it's 9 years old.

"It seems that our troop morale is coming down as time progresses." Our army is a swarm of dragons that keeps invaders from even seeing the castle. Pretty sure we're ok.

I lost so many times at day #2. After that day game difficulty quickly decreased and last 3 days were so easy I felt sorry for the enemies.

Call me crazy but if I was attacking a castle, I'd probably give up about the time it had a full complement of dragons which were melting everything I sent in, with 6 more in waiting, and 9999 mana to spawn more/heal. Interesting game but a bit too easy for the length.

Hate to crap on a fellow developer, but this is a terribly slapdash and terrible game. It's a painfully boring grindfest, and an insult to real games. After the first level, which throws you right into the midst of it, it becomes incredibly easy, and I find myself playing other games while waiting for levels to finish just to get the achievements. I'd consider the balance and pacing to be laughably broken, but the only emotions it conjures are frustration and boredom. I can only hope that they learned from the experience and went on to make better games, but I'm currently unwilling to find out...

Upgrade the first three stuff first to the max. After max upgrade, upgrade mana regen time. Then get some tower, get panzer or something do whatever you want. Mass production of copter can finish the game by itself

Mana regen upgrade makes game stupidly easy, initial mana upgrade is actually a downgrade. If the starting troops are dying buy dragons instead. That's pretty much the entire game.

levels 7 and 8 last around 10-15 minutes each, just be sure to have something to watch in another tab while you check in to heal every so often
