hint: save right after you finish level 8. I replayed level 1 for kicks then saved and badge didn't award. I had to finish 8 again then save. ;-)
overall decent...not much to add to previous comments. 3.5/5

it doesnt really benifit its a short-term gain long-term loss thing. you start with more mana and can get defences set up fast easrly on but mana regen is lost so you dont gain mana as well later on

I don't think "casual gaming" means skipping the play-testing and balancing, does it? Poor guy, all that way and he didn't finish it... not that I'd have a clue how to do it either.

For example with initial mana and mana regen maxed, I can start the battle with 4 maxed thunder turrets (the fourth one im short about 50 mana but that's gained a few seconds) and to me that is really really helpful
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I beg to differ, initial max mana is very helpful because you can start off building a lot of troops/upgrades instead of having to wait. Initial max mana BENEFITS YOU.

balance issue: buying mana pool upgrade makes game harder because regen is so slow compared to increasing from starting pool of 20.

beat day 8 with nothing but 1st unit and 1st turret :) no upgrade on starting mana, just regen rate and unit build rate.

The concept could be fun, but the speed of the game is a show-stopper. Unless this is fixed (allow a speed-up button or some other mechanism to increase the speed of play), this game becomes very dull very quickly.

i dont understand why all the upgrades you can buy from mana stop all of a sudden eventhough the prices are still there :S

Extremely fun, 9999 mana for day eight and you can just sit there while your fully upgraded team of dragons do all the work, and if you max your range out in the game too, you can have you lightning towers beat down anyone before they can get close to the towers. Just an enjoyable game. I know I'll play it from scratch more than a few times over.

I bet the poor schmuck that lives on the ground beneath this castle never has to fertilize his crops, with all the dragon carcasses that rain down every day.

Mmm...didn't mind the tedium of the levels *too* much (I can look at other sites in the meantime). The problem is that it's way, way too feast or famine: either you don't have the mana and the enemies overwhelm you, or you easily survive the initial assault and quickly build up an impregnable force. Unstable equilibrium taken to its furthest extreme. I struggled badly with stages 4-6 and absolutely *breezed* through 7 and 8. And of course, there's the old problem of only a very few upgrades actually being worth anything. I couldn't complete it in time for the Badge of the Day. 2/5

It should add a castle for enemy, so you can beat a level either by holding a period of time or killing enemy's castle.

Go Eagle! Level 10.3500000000000001!
Normally I'd round that, but that extra 10 trillionths can really make that bit of difference you need!

Crap badge and game. No auto save so you don't get an achievement unless you physically save the game after 2 hours of mind numbing repetitiveness. Sure it makes it very clear, but who wants to save a crap game on their computer when the badge won't be there tomorrow?

A fun game, but wa~ay too easy, and a fast-forward would have been nice, too. An auto-build would be a good addition. Automatically add certain unit to the queue.
Also, actually having it posted where your unit cap is would be rather handy.

Nice Little Bug: You can keep upgrading max mana after 9999 and it still recharges faster without increasing cap, to the point where you always have max mana.

I was never able to buy any more upgrade past a certain point, after reading ROAero's post I avoided going over them until I upgraded, but I still wasn't able to buy them after the same point in time. I think this is a glitch and future players would appreciate it being fixed.

easiest way to win, spam copters, upgrade them and get thunder turrents to control knights getting to close, basic win, don't upgrade max mana in the beginning though.

Boring, and very slow. I had the bad luck of not reading the comments before upgrading initial mana (bad idea), but even that didn't slow me down. I ended up having turrets out, and everything secured not even halfway through a wave.If it wasn't for badges, this game would be on my avoid list. Also, you can't fully upgrade your attack, def, and such in the middle of a wave. Score: 2/5

After the first couple waves of the day, this game pretty much turns into an idle game... Just get max regen, thunder towers, and dragons and you're good to go.

i noticed a bug, if you dont have enough mana for an upgrade, but your hover your mouse over it, when you will get enough mana, the button for upgrade it will be still disabled and its gonna stay like that for the entire battle no matter how much mana you will have.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's a nice concept, but to be honest I've played idle games that are more engaging. There are some serious balance issues that need to be addressed.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
alkersh.... -.- regardless of your current mana upgrade it's always 50% of your mana pool to upgrade max. and regardless of wether they did or not, the game is extremely easy as it is. it took me less than half an hour to beat it and get both acheivements at once because i only had to save twice -.-
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
this game's been polished up quite a bit since last time i played, definatly deserves a badge of the day for all the progress
it's good you patched up that max mana issue but upgrading your starting mana now reduces your mana regen considerably, on day 8 i had max mana regen upgrades and only one mana increase upgrade, after winning i bought every last upgrade up to maximum level and played again to find my mana regen was less than half of what it was before, i still didn't have too much difficulty in winning though but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try and fix it.

So I played a little more - full mana, all upgrades, unit limit reached, nothing to do but click to make most powerful units when some dies. Or weakest units. Does not really mater, just more clicking. It plays itself as I type.
