Impossible and seriously hard difficulties are tightropes. No matter how careful you are, one wrong RNG roll is a death knell.

I'm sad that ridding the city of surrounding zeds isn't a way to win...I kept playing til I got to a year too (while tryin got see if I could rescue any of Gustav's caravan) but no luck there either...I ended up quiting but I think I lost my high score when I did

Anyone trying to get the ultimate rebuilder badge, just keep pressing the "end day" button without doing any actions, trust me, it works

So that the user interface could be a bit more user-friendly, I mean. Or, a way to assign survivors to specific tasks from the survivor menu. Anything other than haphazardly using the arrow keys to scroll through the town, missing the building you're going for, having to back to the general vicinity of the building, switch the arrow key that you're using, and then miss it again because it was just a little to the left!

Why the fork is that apartment block so important? Does it REALLY need SIX police stations not more than two blocks away?????????

Pro tip: Choos main character woman. It's actually million times easier to have good-looking woman character in random creator than for man so it won't took agges to start game.

After playing this game far too much, I now know it is possible to start from scratch (i.e. no experienced survivors), on an "impossible" city, and achieve all 4 "good" endings as well as conquer the city.
Some tips on how to do this: 1. What you want to see early in your city layout, or consider restarting: Lots of farms, and 2 laboratories (1 for the crazy Russian, one for the rest of your scientists). 2. A key focus for winning is scientific research. Without anti-venom, you will just start randomly losing people on day 75 or so, which will also wreck your happiness and defenses. Once you have that, focus on food-related research, so that feeding your survivors is less of a problem. 3. Your happiness will have to come from buildings. Negative events will wipe out all other happiness bonuses, including the Love Caravan and getting electricity working again. 9 churches / bars is what you need to avoid happiness-related problems.

Yeah I tried different things with previous save files, I was able to win via Last Judgement but on day 150, regardless of buildings, food, danger, or people, you just lose.

Great game, always fun to come back to but oh man the chosen ones is a f***** win condition. I must be bugged but I've looked up how to win with them and it seems impossible. The leader and I are still alive with 45 blocks but on day 150 I always die and there is no way to change anything. Had an excellent go but chosen ones is just a dumb path, you can't even come back to win any other way afterwards.

First, i managed to get ALL the needed buildings! Great! But then there was a stupid horde and it removed 3 of those DARN buildings and my private guy died! But secondly i realized i had the option to attack that last judge gang and well. Lets just say there was a happy ending apart from the annoying part with zombies trying to constantly attack me cuz i had a high danger.

So, turned down the love caravan when they wanted to take Princess Bell... Very next day she died of a zombie bite. Narrowly avoided putting all of those poor women out of their misery. Phew.
