@ Fizzle_412 yeah, there don't seem to be many farms. I recommend turning all the suburbs into farms since lots of buildings can become apartments - especially on harder difficulties where farms only give 2 food (without research).

I still don't understand how you can have a square surrounded and it still gets swarmed with zombies even though there is no way for the zombies to get to it?

pro-tip for winning on impossible, finish a game of a lower difficulty with the ending that allows you to bring 5 maxed out characters.

You have to conduct a mission in front of a zombie horde so that when the horde moves, it disrupts the mission.

Heh, I trained 5 "elites" with 10 in all skills before moving into a new city in the challenging difficulty, hard badge was piece of cake

Tip for beating for getting the hard badge. Beat the game on easy and level up 5 people to the max. Give them the best items you have and send them to the new town. It will make the game a lot easier in the beginning.

The scientist guy takes a lab permanently and eventually another scientist. After a while the lab blows up and you have the option to go investigate. Once you investigate, you find both him and the other scientist dead and that he was looking for the cure to Zombieism. The cure is in Russian, so it takes a few days to translate. Then you have the option of continuing his research, which takes more days, and finally you can win by finding the cure.

2ton, your experiences were incomplete. He's one of the ways to win the game, because if you do everything he asks, he'll be instrumental in finding one of the game-winning scenarios. I won't spoil any more than that though. :P

TIPS:
If you let someone establish a church, a lot of people will commit suicide, but I think you need it for the helicopter... Dr. Bruhenko or whatever and his assistant will die but if you pick to continue his research you will cure zombieism, but a lot of hordes will come (afterwards, though, you can actually kill off all zombies). Establishing a government is another way to win, which also brings hordes while you're doing it. Then if you do the rescue mission or explore the subways you can destroy the Last Judgement Gang, and win the game.
