Also, since there appears to be no "Bug" button, Ive had the keys not even register and break combos when the Announcer speaks, Ill look into a way to shut his trap, but it does break the arcade type feel the game had

even in 2008, making a music game without calibration options is really risky, especially when it's made in Flash. still an extra easy impossible badge, just ignore the original judge line and set up one yourself.

"SCGMD3 is not be compatible with some (if not all) Linux builds as well as some keyboards due to key registration issues." ... Well, bravo developer; nice sentence structure btw, "is not be". The notes are delayed by a fraction of a second from a stutter lag. That actually matters when you make the tolerance as tight as one or two pixels, which many actual guitarists have said is unrealistic compared to playing a real guitar. That's bad enough, but there's also serious and common problems with keys not registering when you press them? In a game where you have to hit many in quick succession for a long enough period of time? Even the easy songs are an enraging chore, if even doable at all, because of the lag plus bad keys. What notes do manage to get to the one or two pixel area acceptable to nail it may not even register a hit just because of faultiness of the game itself; seems pretty self defeating. These have been the problems with the whole SCGMD series and #4 isn't much better.

It's a real shame that future Flash updates totally screwed up the timing for these songs since even a small amount of lag ruins the entire experience, because this definitely had a lot of care put into it. Flash just isn't the right program for SCGMD.

the game tries to be similar to guitar hero and stepmania but the timings aren't great and they don't match the music to the keypresses very closely making it difficult to play at best, and impossible to play at worst. Could have been better

That moment when you do the first song and the game seems easy, so you try a hard one.
And immediately regret your fatal mistake.

I' ll just repeat what I did, when last time a botd was in one of these crappy super crazy laggy guitar junk maniac 'games'. I' ll rate it 1 star and I will try to focus on the frontpage to rate next upcoming versions down, so they don' t even get badged.

My suggestion for anyone just going for the easy badge, focus on the first song until you either get gold, or until you get silver and then bronze on the second. Bronze seems to be at 5000 points, silver 10000.

I don't know if its just flash being crap generally, but the timing in these games is so far off, that its easier to turn the speakers off and just play based on the screen.

The main problem with all of these "Guitar Maniac" games is that they are not actually timed to the music. I did better on the second song without any sound.

Looking back at the badges from when I got them about 8 years ago, it seems I had 12 of 14 songs for the impossible badge. I am such a quitter.

9 years after it came out, I downloaded it for what must have been the 8th time or so... and finally perfect every damn song. This game will always be a 5/5!

Songs are too long. I don't wanna have to play a four minute song only to miss 2 notes and have to play it all again.

I have finally perfected everything. I am now going to take the sage advice of this game, and seek expensive counselling, after a brief resting period.
