Description
Night Pier is a platformer that is not on your side.
Walk the old pier at night, reach your little boat and row home. Easy, right? Except the planks lie, the lamps fall, the signs give terrible advice, the sea has teeth and the moon is watching you. Every level hides a dirty trick you will never see comingโฆ the first time.
Die, laugh, remember, try again. The levels are short, and the second try is where you get your revenge.
- Short, hand-made levels, each with its own surprise
- A hungry sea monster, falling lamps, lying signs, chatty seagulls, strange weather and much more
- Funny death messages and a death counter that remembers everything
- Watch your own failure again in the replay
- Light bulb hints when you are stuck, and a skip when you really are
- Progress saves automatically in this browser
Age rating: 7+ (cartoon slapstick only: the fisherman falls, gets squashed or eaten off screen, no blood).
Made by a solo developer. The gameโs graphics, animations and sounds are made in code; the cover art was created with the help of AI tools and edited by hand.
How to Play
Move with the Arrow keys or A / D. Jump with Up, W or Space.
R restarts the level. The light bulb (top right) gives a hint.
Reach the boat at the end of the pier. Every level has a trick: when it gets you, try again and outsmart it.
Developer Updates
The End 3 โ every last level now has an ending
You asked โthereโs no ending?โ โ you were right. The newest levels came after The End 2 and the last one simply started over. Now they finish with their own ending: The End 3. No tricks. Pinky promise. (The boat may be on a break.)

Fiendish, but the jokes make it fun. Reminds me of the old jmtb elephant games.
That's a huge compliment, those elephant games were a big inspiration for the trolling spirit here! Fiendish is exactly what we were going for, glad the jokes keep it fun. Thanks for playing, and watch your step at The End!

there's no ending?
You're right, thank you for pointing it out! The newest levels came after The End 2 and the last one just looped. They now have their own ending, The End 3, and the game always ends properly after the last level. If you finished the last level before, you'll land straight on The End 3 next time you play.

151 Deaths almost all of them on the Lightening Level (68 maybe which is the absolute worst and I'm still not sure how I got past it) and the weird water bumper ones. I couldn't get the bumpers to act the same from attempt to attempt no matter what I tried with varying height and distance every bounce it was practically impossible to beat the level with skill instead of just pure luck. Jumping onto the bouncer instead of falling directly onto it does seem to have less of a bouncing effect with a shorter distance covered which doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. Other than those like 3-4 levels the game is great and really enjoyable. Well done.
