Under rating threshold (show) why can drop down and slide just be the same button, if I'm not mistaken, drop down is only available when your sliding down a clothesline. you can't slide then.

+ - !

(-1)

Developer response from SoulGame

Actually you can drop down from a platform (hold the key to go through many). That's why both actions slide and drop down can't be on the same key.

Under rating threshold (show) Really nice game, very addictive ! I like the concept of repetitive sequences, with random different foes/loots/flowers/girls ... You could add different transitions between the levels (not the same jump everytime) And nothing happens when you get 100% loot, it's a little bit sad ...

Under rating threshold (show) For all People out there, the medals of the challenges counts too (a big part), and i have and request on Soulgame, could you add a few extras for the people who have 100%? The last head is really great and worth all the work, but even so would it be nice if we could start at a later level (like 3 levels under our highest reached level). So it would still be a challenge we could start with only 1 life. This would make the game even better.

Under rating threshold (show) Challenge medal requirements are actually listed ingame, although not explicitly. When you die, mouseover the hint tooltip and click to read through them. #12 lists the required score for each medal. Little tip for the "Watch your step" one: don't forget you can land on the barrels and vases to stay aboveground and grab every white feather you can (more points and they're your double jumps).

Under rating threshold (show) It would be nice if you could choose your starting point once you have completed zones. It got a bit redundant to replay the first zones over and over again just to get stuck at the same place in the later zones again.

Under rating threshold (show) Upgrades would make this game so much better..But still good game :).. The problem is when you die 3 times you have to start all over..and if there would be upgrades..there would be progress T_T

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from SoulGame

You have to upgrade your own skill ! I know the "no upgrade" thing is a bit unusual, but it can become very cool after a moment :). Nothing urges you to finish the game now, you can take your time and come test your skill whenever you want.

Under rating threshold (show) We can see the requirements for the distance and reward trophies, but not for the challenge medals. This would be really useful because I feel like I have the best route for Treasure Hunt planned out but am still just getting the gold medal. It would be nice to see how much more I need.

(3)

Sorry for this lack in-game, but it's written in the game description ! 750 - 1000 - 1400 - 1800 (same for all the challenges)

Under rating threshold (show) I LOVE how tight the controls are for this game. It's great to have them be so responsive and precise. It feels so badass to somersault through a hail of arrows, throw a knife, and kill an enemy right before they attack, all before hitting the ground. 5/5 and favorited. Can't wait for the sequel!

Under rating threshold (show) Best game I played in the last weeks. The no upgrade system is good, you need to learn the patterns and have good reaction time to play good. Also, if sequel is in future plans, adding a chechpoint would be good. (personally having trouble with the 2-black-captains-in-1-game loot)

Under rating threshold (show) Yes I finally got all the badges. Great game. I will admit I per-fur upgrade game but this game was not build for upgrades and it would just not work. I have no complaints about the game did I get disheartened at time yes but I kept playing anyway. Badges are not that hard to get overall. I suggest just picking a mission or two to shoot for and not worrying about trying to get so much treasure or get a distance that will just come along the way. I see great things in this sequels future keep up the great work.

Under rating threshold (show) I hate upgrades and am glad this game doesn't have them. Upgrades turn a skill game into a grinding game, I like my progress to be from my personal skill increasing. I would like to be able to choose the level I start on since the beginning is quite slow once your better at the game. The challenges are great btw, love the deadly path. Please DON'T add upgrades to the sequel.

+ - !

(15)

Developer response from SoulGame

Don't worry, we are planning to satisfy every players ! If we add upgrades, they will improve the game experience bringing new stuff, not necessarily making the game easier.

Under rating threshold (show) Great game, 5/5 and favved, only flaw I see is, that it says in the hints that going on the right edge doesn't makes you go faster. It actually does, if you make your leap of faith earlier ('cuz you are on the right edge), you are going a bit faster. Also, if you are dashing, it makes the background move a little faster. There still would be no problem with this, except, that the game tells me, that I ran less far, than it should be (I have reached end of zone1 with anywhere between 240 and 260 meters). This might not be a bug, but I think that a zone should be equally long each time you make it.

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from SoulGame

Actually zone length depends on the random game sequences you've been through. But you're right about the Leap of faith, there could be a error of 20 meters according to your position in the screen. Thanks for noticing those details !

Under rating threshold (show) If there's to be a shop or an "upgrades" type thing, I'd prefer that it only upgraded certain items and that, at some point further down the (literal) road in the game, the upgrades would be required or else an obstacle will be so obscenely hard it's worth the effort to just spend the scrap on that. However, unlike a majority of people and their damned "upgrades", I rather like that you, as a PLAYER, have to get better at the game rather than buy upgrades until the game plays itself for you. To me, it gives the game a higher sense of progression each time you hit a new level and go "Hell yeah! I'm getting even BETTER at this!"

Under rating threshold (show) I really enjoy this game. I love the movement and feel of the character. The obstacles and stage interaction are really nice and intuitive. The stages are also designed to well in a mix of challenge and free flowing fun. It takes the best parts of a platformer and adds just a little more speed and tension because of the infinite runner mechanics. However, because it's an infinite runner, the set level design becomes a little more tedious after multiple replays. I'd say if there is a sequel have a campaign mode like this and have another mode, unlockable or not, that is randomly generated throughout the whole thing. I don't think upgrades are needed for the game to be fun, but perhaps more costumes and such to unlock to give more of a sense of progression. Also if possible, could you allow us to toggle music on/off separately from effect sounds? The soundtrack is nice but gets repetitive after a few playthroughs. I'd like to listen to my music while also hearing the game effects.

+ - !

(3)

Developer response from SoulGame

I know replaying from the start could be frustrating and be sure we will improve this aspect in Rogue Soul 2. About music/sounds, I will try as well, but I cannot promise ! Thanks for your feedback.
