the pacing in this game becomes a grind after a bit, i love the hell out of it but maybe after you break certain plateus or values the first zone pacing should increase? also random rare power ups (magnet?, something that makes you hella jumpy?) would make the game alot more intense and paced

This is a really awesome game. I beat it a few weeks ago, and then cleared my save file. It's really addicting and fun, and the only problem I have is that sometimes an impossible set of enemies spawn, but other than that this is a amazing game, 5/5.

If you're interested at a shot at the high score (yes my 265k is legit, and would be much higher without a crappy cpu :-( ), here are a couple of tips. First, it's all about the combos. The first kill you make is only worth 10, but each kill after that is worth an additional 5*combo# - 1. So by the time you get to a 25 combo, the last kill is worth 130 points, and the entire streak is worth 1750. For a 100 combo (my record is 109), the last kill is worth 505 points and the streak is worth 25750. You have a limited amount of time between kills, and the screen scrolls at a set speed (depending on how far you are into the current zone). However, sliding actually speeds up the scroll speed slightly, and daggers can kill enemies that aren't currently on the screen if they're within a certain distance... thus daggers are ideal for extending kill streaks.
When we released the game, my best score was 40000 and it still is. I'm really impressed by players' performances. 109 combos, seriously ? :) Well done.

It would be nice to have a combo bar and a zone progress bar.
The first would help a lot timing my attacks and the second one would prevent me form sending daggers into nevada...er...nirvana.
Also WALKING enemies are invulnerable as long, as they're invisible, i noticed that, as i threw a dagger to save my combo, even HIT one, but the next enemy in line was not harmed, just the one after it. Also the first enemy WALKED. Also the daggers, that assassins throw, which can also hurt enemies, can still hit YOU after they hit an enemy, but they're invisible then. I thnk THAT should be fixed.
The ones who complain most, also lke the game most. :D
The bars for Combo and Zone progress are great ideas, thanks ! I'm working on the annoying assassin's dagger bug, sorry for this one. About invincible enemies, the bug actually comes from the sequence creation system. When out of the screen, your dagger can pass through enemies who have been created AFTER the dagger passage. I'm not sure to be able to fix that in this version. Thanks for your nice comment.

I intentionaly fall down to kill a brute and captain standing next to eachother at once and die...lame,wish i could kill multiple enemies at once...

wanted to point out one pseudo-bug that noone else may ever find. Whenever you reach 128 or more of a resource (knives, parachutes, double jumps), it becomes greyed out until you have less than 128 of that resource. I first noticed this with double jumps, but I actually confirmed it with knives and parachutes as well. You can still use them, but its just a bit weird.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
in response to what sdert said, your ability to jump definitely does not reset until you land somewhere. However, you can parachute many, many times during the same jump/fall.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
on the cut scene your wanted poster says 42 soulons for an apple, and a stolen solid gold cup is 40. is my math wrong or does this make no sense?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wish I could double jump then parachute and then after parachute(without landing anywhere) double jump again..or atleast one jump =/

All the "goodies" that disliked @rudesasquatch's comment are really, really boring people,I lol'd to it,how could u dislike it!?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
something in the code seems to be messed up, or maybe its the site itself. also I disagree with srexy, the beginning levels are a chance for you to farm up your double jumps and parashutes and daggers without having to be frantic and use em to escape a dangerous situation. I love this game, omg I almost have 100% loot :D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Sorry to say, but unless I'm missing something, the math calculator in this game is horribly off. Checking what you wrote in the games description, there's 51 total loots to collect. This means a 1.96% completion with every piece collected. So far, I've collected 42 pieces, which should put me at 82% if I'm not mistaken, yet the ingame counter has me at 61%. Am I missing something?
Yes you are :) "Loot room to fill with 44 Loots, 2 Trophies and 5 Medals from epic challenges !" So you have to collect Medals and Trophies as well as complete missions in order to increase the % complete.

@mathewfire: An alternative to sdert's solution is as you get to the wall, you go through the hole and press down to go through the platform. Then hit the enemy who awaits you with a dagger and slide under the next part. :3, hope it helps!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@mathewfire get 2 jumps from the trampoline and after do a double jump, then parachute over the wall then double jump to the soldier on the next end of the other wall.

Im i the only person who keeps running into an impassible wall in stage 5, resulting in me literally just standing there untill the screen runs me out ?

Great game! Also, I like the current upgrade system, where you can unlock visual upgrades only, but not buy stuff to help you in-game, since this means you can finish the game as quickly or as slowly as your own skill lets you, and you don't have to grind grind grind for those upgrades you can't live without. However, I agree it would be nice to have stuff you could buy with the loot or achievements that's more than visual upgrades for your avatar. Maybe unlock additional content like different areas or locations within existing levels (new pieces that would be included in the random generation process); these could make the initial areas harder while also giving you more reward, and would also fix the problem with experienced players being bored of grinding through the first levels every time they restart. I'd also base these unlocks on achievements rather than loot since the game would still be skill-based and not grind-based.

@PhantomArcher: Wow, you're at 99% and didn't figure out how to click the credits button? It's in the main menu lol; it's just not called "credits". (think: who made this game again?)

@30923 You have to give Souly a flower while she is in the tower near the Captain, followed by the pit and a Brute. Sorry if it's not clear what I'm talking about

i have a problem, iam at only 71% loot but i have completed every mission and gotten every trophy except for the 25x combo. Is there some hidden missions that im not aware of? XD

Hey Guys, I really like this game. It's skill based and you don't need any upgrades, it's cool to fight against the guards and jump around (though diving in hay happens a bit often), it has a nice achievement feedback with the loot room and it also has challenges apart the actual game. Good Job!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Just something for the sequel, sometimes when I should have gotten a loot (killing archer by ! for example) it won't give me it until about 10 minutes later. 5/5 for game though!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
phew finally got 100% loot, took me long enough....
Getting 14000 Soulons is quite a challenge, but you can do it till you reach Zone 8 if you combokill a lot of soldiers!

I've gotten both a dull silver medal and a shiny silver medal, which I mistook for platinum until I read the comments.

In battleground, the black captain's score is far outweighed by his difficulty. He's a lot harder to kill then 7 soldiers or 2.5 assassins for example.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
what exactly breaks combos? it seems like picking anything up will stop it, even the flowers. is that supposed to happen?

IMPORTANT ISSUE:
The assasins daggers can STILL hurt you, after they bounced off a different enemy! It looks like your character would just randomly fall.
Please fix this, it killed me a lot of times.
