With a little bit of adjusting with controls and gameplay, I think this could make a good game to put on the appstore for ipods and ipads... Kind of remainds me of jetpack joyride.

If you keep dying on the part where you have to parachute to get across a pit, then can't jump over the next obstacle, press down on the straw roof... took me many lives to figure that out.

This is a fantastic, superb game. I understand why you've avoided upgrades and progression, but lack of that does take away from the fun a bit, have to admit. One idea: add skin options, more enemies and tougher obstacle courses, and give armor and life upgrades for progression. Then gameplay dynamics remain constant, but upgrades still matter.

I kinda want to like this game, but at the moment frame-skipping is ruining the fun. I have the quality set to low, and it still doesn't solve anything. =/

I have 8 Loot items left to get across the 5 pages, but I'm only 56% complete? Are there hidden bits of Loot, or does the calculation not do percentages in the same way the rest of us do?

@PokeAlottaSmot: Theres a way past it you just have to press down when you land on the so called unpassable area. It took me a few tries to figure it out. Keep in mind though there's a captain waiting for you so have a dagger handy.

This might be one of my favorite games on Kongregate! Great job, you've absolutely outdone yourself. It would be a great addition for a sequel to have a bit more progression aspects, and even more loot. The loots are my favorite part of the game, so if there's ever a sequel, make sure to double or even triple the loot! Also, maybe cut down on the repetition by adding more sets of scenery and obstacles (whatever you call those defined chunks of terrain). The game is a slightly unrefined stroke of genius, and the only major improvement I can see for a sequel would be to make it absolutely massive!

in zone 5 when you have to parachute through the opening in the middle of the wall, there is no way to get up and past it. plus this comment so they fix it!

Sorry for my previous comment, I see the note about no upgrades now. The absence of upgrades eliminates the sensation of receiving a reward of some kind and that makes it more difficult for me to feel excited about playing the game multiple times.

Is it even possible to get past the tall walls from level 5 and up if you don't make it with a parachute? Cause double jumps aren't doing me anything.

Awesome game I love it. I seen people post about customization and in the sequel you should totally add some.
A couple ideas I had were: different armors, clothing, different flowers or other gifts the girl would take, different females or maybe clothing for the girl who gives you double jump, and for the main character color choice on the armor.
It's a lot to do, but I think that would be cool. Of course all those recommended would be purchasable with coins gained/loot. Great game and I hope the sequel will be just as great.
P.S. mini games would be awesome if you could think of any. Maybe like a dagger precision minigame.

My one suggestion for this game, make it more purposeful. The only purpose you have now is beating BorinHood with 5000 Soulas, but besides that... I don't see the need to get all that loot since it does nothing for me. Make more challenge! And maybe make the loot help you, give you slight boosts!

Its strange.. theres the Borin hood costume.. I would think that Borin Hood's wanted price would go up since people would think it was him because of that costume XD

Too many combinations with no workable solution spawning in front of me and no hope of upgrading to get past them = not even trying for the 5 point badge. I say this as a badge whore... you have to make it seriously not fun for me to give up this soon.

Hero Sword: an exercise in madness, since you're relying on not getting one of those situations where there's five or so enemies and it's only humanly possible to get two due to solid floors. Hate luck based missions.
Even if there is often a part of luck in every games, this mission is far from being luck based. There is almost always a way to defeat all the enemies you encounter, learn the game sequences, throw daggers, perform double jump, go backward, drop down from platforms... In every new game I start, I get the Sword Hero !

The 42 soulons bounty doesn't come exclusively from the apple robbery : our rogue is already known in the neighbourhood for a few minor larcenies !

there is a part in zone 5 that keeps showing up that is impossible to get past. looks like this ____ |-// < there are 2 gates right ontop of eachother that is impossible to get past
