Just as good as I remember it being. Still a nice way to kill a few hours when you don't feel like doing much of anything.

This game is so addicting and pretty fun too but could use some more monster levels and maybe an actual campaign to get through that would be fun.

I really do Love all of the Dark Souls references. Dark Zoul, the furtive children, the secret paintings, the bonfire is lit, and all the other stuff really is pretty cool

Tips from a gal you've probably never seen before:
Never level up critical unless it starts falling behind your other stats significantly, the mushroom gives you enough usually.
All stats (except critical) are pretty equal in importance, so just pick a build that fits how you like to play.
If you don't do training obsessively, you'll fall behind fast.
Always restock your potions and spells.

The only complaint I would really have is the aiming mining game kind of sucks, especially when you're going for one of the perfect combo missions, even if you hit a target in the center, you might end up hitting another target slightly away from the center, thus ruining the combo.

When starting the game, make sure to visit the museum and invest into it, you'll get tons of money from it as you progress. In regards to the game as a whole, it's a very well made journey, the training feels rewarding, and never starts to feel tedious while also not yielding too much progress either. The game is pretty much perfect in regards to difficulty. Definitely recommended.

This is a very well made game and I hope the developers continue making more in their soul franchise. Highly fleshed out with a great balance between grinding and actually being involved in combat. Not to mention the various different ways a player can choose to optimize their gold-building schemes to obtain valuable upgrades or to reinvest into the empire.
If these developers had the time and funds, I have no doubts they could release a full game with several different mechanics and a rewarding storyline, with a fair difficulty and strong play routine. Their track record with their previous games is quite solid, but this one in particular stands above the rest by head and shoulders in terms of scope and gametime. Easy to pick up and get started, hard to put down, and it has a charming art style to boot.
