Great game, needs to be a bit more difficulty on hard. anyone who has the sense to play the British can just sit on two lines of earthworks and Green coats and sit out the last four levels.

Wave 97 and it crashed due to lag^^
I had the WHOLE map full of greenjackets.
Plus extra 3 Grand Cannons each side + 3 MGs :P
So yeah english troops are quiet Op :P

The game wont let me place cannons, I have the right position and everything, but whenever I try to place the cannon, it just disappears and I dont have any change to my amount of money. This game has some bad flaws

Greenjackets are, as many people point out, OP. Or should we say other tier3 infantries suck? Anyways, this is truly a nice concept, and I will rate it 5/5 for that, but something must be done to make more winning strategies viable, other then "Greenjacket Spam".

Also, if you have too many gunmen at the same time, they dont fire for a couple of seconds, then a big BOOM with them all firing at once. Maybe its just my computer lagging. Im just annoyed cause the enemy gets through

British seem rather overpowered to me,a horde of greenjackets makes the game boringly easy and makes use of cannons obsolete

I cant rotate my towers... i did it once and SINCE then ALL my canons / Towers point to the left side.... cant switch them back great shit...

Same Problem as Stolfaen... 2 guys shooting Diagonaly at my rifleman... first of all they have MORE range than any cannon or Rifle guy... so they killed my whole defense... lol lol lol and now they cant hit the last rilfeman... and i am stuck :P

Just got STUCK with two measly rifledudes shooting at a bastion that heals itself more than they damage. That blows. Can't sell of destroy the thing either so as to get a move on.
Annoying! Maybe a fix on this, dear developer(s)?

You gotta get rid of that calendar function. in the long run, a bunch of whiners complaining about bugs doesnt matter as much as a button that effectively lets you win without planting any soldiers or barricades.
I really like your use of Greenjackets for the British. Feels like playing with Sharpe.

- Cannons seem useless. Too slow and unpredictable. And I also don't see difference between cannons, Big Cannon is nearly the same as Culverin.
- Britain is overpovered. At the start unlock Redcoat, and set on palisades. Then upgrade them to Greenjakets. That's all, nobody can pass, and you also can set up emty line of wall if you don't like repair barricades and have auto-repair (very nice on Earthworks).
- Also I can't get achivements for fast completition level, bug?

OCD moment. 6 rows of greenjackets... at the edge of the buildable area on endless mode. Any time an enemy appears they get met with such a barrage of lead that my computer freezes for a couple seconds, plays the fire animation for every guy, and then makes the enemies die...

Really buggy...
1. If you build on the outer limits, enemy troops walk right over your units as if they weren't there.
2. French garde fully upgraded (achievements) with an indicated cost of 72 still cost 95 to build.
3. Prussian grenadiers are useless because of short range, enemy units shoot them from a distance. With health-regeneration you can wait forever (literally) for a level to end...
4. Double speed shouldn't be a 'hold'-button.
Otherwise it could be nice and challenging game...

There are some really intresting points.
(A) Why does the Culverin 150 Dmg, the Second 100 ? and the GC 150 again :P
(B) It seems to have no effect how strong a cannon is .
(C) The GC should at least have 165% of the Range of normal Canons .
(D) It would be great if there were something like a "Gate" and buildings like Barracks which automaticaly spawn melee units through the gate for close combat :P
(E) it would be great to change the direction of canons (diagonal e.g.)

Interestingly enough, Vauban, the "master of fortresses" for which this game is named, achieved more renown for his ability to quickly TAKE fortresses, rather than build untakable ones.

Ok, installing a "find new path" button isn't a bugfix, it's a lazy way to do it and it leaves a massive exploit in the game.
The build 20 cannons achievement is bugged, it registers all cannons built so it achieves only on the army that you are using at the time of reaching 20 cannons.
The cannons are pointless, they all have the same range and there's nothing that you need more power to attack anyway.
The enemies get mowed down by 3 rows of tier 3 infantry making hard levels just as easy as the easy ones.
Did the developer even play the game before releasing this? It feels completely unfinished.

On round 38 on endless mode as Britain against Prussia, I had so many greenjackets (more than 50, really), that the battle screen froze and all I heard was what sounded like a chaingun.

its a good game but could use improvement. would give it a 4/5 because of the bugs and changes that could be made as i had to quit two games when enemies got stuck on traps out of range of my troops and couldnt move >>.

One part I don't like is if you make one mistake and forget to turn your cannons the right direction before the attack, you pretty much just wasted an hour. Being able to pause the game and turn them during the attack would be good.

Good game could use another round or two of debugging and I'd like to point my cannons in more then just the cardinal directions say maybe south west instead of south and the attackers always come in ranks of 4 soldiers especially in the endless mode this means they can get killed quickly no matter how many of them come out in a wave.

I have yet to finish a skirmish without the game bugging out on me and causing me to refresh. I didn't want to have to do this 2/5

I've burned through the medium levels. The most recent one I did I did the last 10 waves without building anything. The difficulty doesn't really ramp. Once you have 2-3 ranks of the highest level infantry, you can just burn 'em down as they come.
I don't even use cannons, there is no need.

It could have been a nice idea. However the complete lack of balance ruins it.
All the cannons are equal, but the last one that is crazy good. Moreover you can unlock the last one without unlocking the previous ones.
Cannons, even the last one, are however way worse then third level troops. The only strategy needed is a 3-slot thick wall full of Greenjacket around your base. You build it, and then you launch all the waves. Pretty lame.
Moreover, after wave 10 the game is pretty much ended, it doesn't get harder, it's just a matter of time. Hard levels are just longer then easy ones.
With a bit more thinking around it could get a good game.

The British blow everyone else out of the water. Greenjackets destroy everything that you don't even need cannon when playing as British.
On another note, the French... unsurprisingly... suck the most.

you rotate them after you place a cannon... then you can click on the newly placed cannon and rotate from there... Yes, I know it seems a bit backwards, but that is how it is done...
Also... I am playing endless mode and am at wave 72 with over 1 million dollars to spend. everything is upgrades fully, I have 4 rows or british green jackets and 28 cannons behind them. Nothing is touching my wall to even put 1 point of damage on it... Does anyone know how far it takes to finally be overwhelmed?
