I am having a horrible glitch. These two French Garde won't die (soldiers refuse to shoot at them, and they fire in 1 direction forever, punching a solid hole through my defenses when they are out of range. What the hell?!!? And it's been going on for nearly 20 minutes now!!! GRRR!!!!!

enemy units tend to fire outside of their own range..how is that possible? aint it stupid? who created this stupid game anyway?

if you se the hot keys (B,U,R,S) it mean BURS (bottom-up rewrite system) theory tackles the problem of taking a complex expression tree or intermediate language term and finding a good translation to machine code for a particular architecture. Implementations of BURS often employ dynamic programming to solve this problem. coincidence?

If the British had realized in the colonial age how powerful massing Greenjackets actually was, we would all be driving in the wrong side of the road by now.

My internet and computer speed is fine, but this game slows everything stop and sometimes it freezes. Great game, but needs some work. I hope to see improvements in a sequel. :)

Two big issues-- 1) The game is way too easy. I played the tutorial level and then jumped all the way to the hardest level and beat it in two tries with very little difficulty (I built too many fortifications and too few troops on the first attempt)
2) Cannons simply are not worth it for their cost. They are cool in theory and I really wish I could have found an excuse to use more of them, but they simply suck compared to walls of t3 infantry, and they are very expensive to upgrade. 4 structures for the base, then 250 for the bastion, then the cost of the cannon. And if you build them early them upgrading makes them almost twice as expensive.

3rd time ive played, 3rd time its crashed..
It keeps kind of freezing on level 19 of the training map.
still, its a very good game....

If anyone is having difficulty getting the speed run achievement, here's how I did it:
Be British against the French
Build a palisade ring around the blockhouse.
Unlock redcoats.
Put redcoats on the walls.
Go through the waves as fast as possible, saving your money to unlock greenjackets.
Upgrade all redcoats to greenjackets.
From here, you want to work towards having a second ring of greenjackets, with at least the outer one being an earthworks wall. Whether you want to upgrade the wall or get the second ring up first is up to you. Two rings of greenjackets is enough to take out all waves with little to no wall damage. Once you have the two rings, upgrading to earthworks on the outer wall is just a precaution. Once you have the earthworks, just go through the waves as fast as possible. Happy speeding!
Note: This requires having at least 2500 starting money as British

The game, while not bad, is not particularly good. It is very generic, with extra superfluous details which fails to distinguish it from other games. It also lacks polish, with the main GUI alternating between "ugly" and "disfunctional".

okay now that i have played through the game a considerable amount i have a series of suggestions. first off being able to set hp bars to show up (all units on the screen having hp displayed at the same time), being the attacker for a change could make the game less monotonous, the achievements make the game abit easy cause they are too powerful, being able to set game speed, and of course having progression display in the achievements menu would be nice. if you are not planning on updating this game you can use it for your next one instead.

This game is extremely time-consuming and some campaing honors are difficult or impossible but it's still great a great game. 5/5

The rotate selected building hotkey (T) doesn't seem to work. I can assume its only use is to properly position bastions.

**Bug** playing as the french I got the achievement "officer of the guard" -15% Gardes cost. It does show the cost reduction but when i have 91 gold and the unit is 72 it tell me that i do not have enough gold to purchase the unit

Have a bug where everything stops shooting except enemies... Not so great. Also all range fills and health bars don't disappear any more.

Hey. Greenjackets have far more range than they need. I was beaten just now because they were able to outrange every unit I had. Including my own Greenjackets.

cannons actually have to become better as you upgrade them. they don't do anything right now if you do. they should have more range, faster reload etc.
Engineers are easy kill, just place a couple random barricades at the edge of your puckle guns fire range, watch the engineer walk up to it and get owned.

it was easy up to wave 11. then i could upgrade my soldiers to grenadiers. jippi. they now got a shorter range, so the enemies could kill all of them being out of my range. Is that supposed to be better?

there's one bug, that if you try to click repair walls right after you beat a round, it wont tell you the repair amount (it will repair though) and it never shows after that.

how do you put a cannon down it wont let me whatever i do, one time i wasted 2000 credits to find out how to put the cannon down, can anyone help?

to use earthwork contstruct a lower grade building and upgrade it once you unlocked it once : you can't construct it :(

There's a strange addictive-ness to the game and I hope that a sequel is a possibility. I like the way cannons are handled, but I wish the upgrades offered more of a difference than simply increasing firing speed (if attack power is increased there's no way to tell since all cannon kill instantly). I appreciate the inclusion of an endless mode, but the main campaign needs the difficulty boost. None of the stages offered any challenge.
I've noticed two bugs in my playing all having to do with the achievements. First I got the No Units Lost reward regardless of whether some of my soldiers died or not. Also my units never cost less. Even though I have the achievements that should reduce the cost of some of my units (e.g. Gardes) and the number has reduced in the UI, it still costs the full amount of gold when I actually make the purchase.

err... *puckle* cannon looks like rank 4 of the cannon line, but is not a direct upgrade, and in fact can be built without unlocking any of the other cannons - this is not immediately obvious. perhaps add some separators to the different categories of units?

fairly easy victory: Get the logistics genius and +500 gold (for whatever nation you want) badges. On your first turn, buy second tier infantry, and build rough palisade around your blockhouse with enough room for some bastions w/ puckle guns later. Now populate the wall with your 2nd tier infantry. Next, buy 3rd tier infantry, and upgrade all your existing units. Build a second layer of palisade wall and fill it up with units. Next get either tier 2 or 3 wall, and construct a 3rd layer w/ troops. Get Puckle guns and build one for each direction enemies attack from. Lastly, if you haven't already, upgrade your outermost wall to tier 3. Now just finish off the rest of the waves and remember to repair after every wave.

This game was WAY too easy! I completed the game without loosing a single unit on the first try. I didn't even build a single cannon!
I played as the British, at the start I upgraded to Red Jackets, then built a single row with them around my blockhouse. Then I just waited until I got 2000 gold to upgrade my infantry to Green Jackets. Done....Just kept sending wave after wave...Nothing could kill me...

UI bug: unit info states (e.g. for Demi Cannon) Hit Points 330/330, Attack 200, Attack Speed 8, Tier 2. the Upgrade tooltip to get it to Tier 3 claims that: Cost: 575, Tier 3, Dmg 400 (is this same as Attack?), AtkSpd 250 (this thing is NOT 30x faster!), Rng 250 (range is not shown on the original at all?)

If you are going to make endless mode "harder with enemies getting exponentially higher HP and damage", you need to make the coin return exponentially higher as well.

Bug: if you select a wall and buy and upgrade while its still selected, you will loose money for the upgrade but the upgraded wall wont show up and you cant place it down.

For all of you who didnt see it, read it, or hear it. If the enemy is stuck, or if it has more range than your units, and you cant do anything, you can press the calender to make them(the attackers) move to a different position.

It almost seems ridiculous that we have to hold a button to get the already slow moving enemies to pick up the pace. It's not like we can even do anything during a wave so why not just make the speed of the whole process adjustable in the options menu.
