Absolutely loved the game! Very creative use of the command line as a framework for puzzles. The story is surprisingly compelling as well; I can't wait to find out what happens! A couple of suggestions: maybe leave commands like sudo, up, whoami etc available even when they're not explicitly needed for a particular puzzle. Having help only list the necessary commands makes some parts a bit too easy, and leaving them in would be more immersive IMO. Also, it would be cool if you made use of directory structures rather than having all the files sitting in ~/usr/. Anyway, great game; can't wait for Episode 2! (oh and I wish this was Episode 0, just as a little in joke :P)

Great Game! Challenging and really works my mind!
This really sucks me in and I'm surprised to see that we have to think out of the box. Would recommend everyone to try this at least once or they'll miss out lots!

Wow, great game!! But the "amos" hint is not that good, have lots of translations for the same verse. But the luke part wasn't a problem somehow. Look foward for episode 2. keep the good work (y)

Started off being a walk in the park, i still dont understand level 7 and the need to find the paper was confusing - 2061 isnt 1961! if that had of been available in the game, or some kind of hint to look elsewhere, it would have been perfect

Can't wait to see what will happen in the next episode. :) Absolutely LOVE the old computer interface, made me feel as if I was in the 80's classic WarGames, except not playing a potentially lethal game of Thermonuclear War against a military AI.

One of the best games on Kongregate I have ever played, and I've been here a good seven years. Love games that really make you think. Although, level 8 and level 9 were very hard if you didn't know the context behind it. But still 5/5 and I cannot wait what you guys have to offer in the next episode. PS it would have been more "realistic" if the game did take place in 2061. We would have no idea what the world would be like. Maybe say that Peter took leave in 2014 and its 2061 and he never came back because he has been dead for decades!!

In 1961 there was no graphic terminals... ;) this game do not play well with my knowledge.
I know. it is a top secret scientific base... buying stuff in Boston... ;) having no employment.
Authors should use ASCII art or turn down these net equipment not possible without at least 70s equipment.
1961 - start of apollo program... you should know more what crap they used for it.

Wow. Got stuck with the very first task for 3 minutes :) Great job, but need a tiny clue it has a help message for those who guess login command on the first try.

The fact that you can look up the archives of the Chicago Tribunal to type in the password, and that there is the "This is a Triumph" script gives me a theory. You are hacking into the military complex Aperture Science used before they moved to a different complex. Lya is the predecessor of GLaDOS, and the only difference between them is that GLaDOS had a mother of a patch (literally, the patch was Caroline, and the patch failed). I mean, come on. Even the voices are similar. That's no coincidence.

I really hope more is coming in the future because there aren't enough games like these that are done well and have a good story combined with good and accessible puzzles. That said, it could be a little more difficult, but I'd imagine the episodes will become harder as we go on. Looking forward to more.

I recommend to specify full year in the game.
I was sure it is space adventure or futuristic adventure till newspaper riddle.
Overall I think it is worse then expected after playing trailer game... I have 1 comment in memory from it... mostly do not like this one.

It was an slightly above average puzzle game until the newspaper puzzle and beyond. Then things got really interesting! I can't wait to see what you have in store next time!

Great game! Usually these kind of games are either way too hard without any kind of walkthrough or they are so easy they can be completed within minutes. This one does very well on managing difficulty!

What a great find directly after finally registering for this site! This game reminded me of a good half dozen others that I've also enjoyed a lot, which made it pleasantly (if unexpectedly) nostalgic. As someone else mentioned, there are some typos here and there that ideally could be fixed, but they make little difference to overall enjoyment. I look forward to the sequel! :D

Very cool, looking forward to the next episode. The grammar could use some work, but it didn't really detract from the game. 5 stars. Got a screenshot of those runes at the end, just in case ;)

Good game. The point where you had to think 'out of the box' came a bit too abruptly, though (really, I thought that comment was only a snide remark). My only gripe with it is that the dates don't make sense. They didn't even have telnet in 1961, let alone ssh! And for obvious reasons (level 8), it cannot be 2061...
