Shotguns are only good for close range combat. If target is at most 10m away, then they do high damage. But before your guys can get that close, they must take some damage which is no good. I never use shotguns. Grenades are much better backup weapons, cause they do more damage to multiple enemies, they have range of ~20-40m depending on the throwers strength, they can be thrown behind obstacles (cars or ppl) and their damage is not dependent on the distance to the target like shotguns damage.

o yes by the way I killed my first cavane with nothing but shot guns and rifles and I got 2 camels 1 oxes a jeep a froweeler and a but load of akas m4 and so on

I beg to differ nilloc93 shot guns a very usefull if u make a line with your guys than the shot gun does about 34 damage a shot. and yes m4s are good but sgot guns are good backup

you morons don't kill caravans unless you want to deal with the DP and for gods sakes shotguns are worthless get friking M4s and if you kill a certain caravan you get the police on you as well +you can't do the missions

xXJinXx: If you can't deal with robber groups in the northeastern parts, then you should probably fight some easier robbers somewhere else (around Verdammter Platz or Okaidi) so that your men get better stats. Especially they need APs so they can shoot before the robbers.

I found those fast "elite" robbers. So they have those same Yamaha Raptors I'd seen in shops. Those robbers could even do some damage to my men. Also found some robbers with Jeeps. Nice to find something new in this game :D

The problem is i always incounter some robbers in that place and if 1 of my men died then i will lose 1 car and thats not all my escort the desert convoy or something is slower than me so i have no protection.

Talking about invisible vehicles. I once tried to shoot through an invisible vehicle with RPG, so the shooter took 20+ damage from his own rocket. lol

Oh yeah. Land Rover speed is only 20km/h. Got that wrong. What about those PITA 75cc atvs? I have never seen them. I don't take those robbers vehicles as loot, so I might have missed that. Where can you encounter such robbers? Anyway Yamaha Raptors speed is 25km/h, but I've never seen them elsewhere than in the shops.

Give hara and smerd crude oil so they could produce oil and could some 1 tell me how to get to the robbers hide out i alredy have more than 40 cars and people but theres some robbers faster than me

oh and btw don't get a ton of vechs your you will get glitchy stuff to happen (invisible land rovers and your vechs just generally not appearing on the battlemap)

richi some of the more "elite" robber groups travel on the PITA 75cc atvs that go 25 KMH and btw teh land rover only goes 20 KPH only the ATVs go 25

Before you buy any cars, make sure that you have bought some fuel (available in Hara and Smerd usually) because you can't drive your cars without fuel!

Your caravan travels in desert mode just as fast as your slowest people, animal or car. So if you want to move faster, you need to get rid of the slowest things. In the early game I use only ppl and animals with at least speed 5km/h. I switch to cars asap when I can afford. When you buy cars make sure that there are enough places for all of your men and get rid of all animals, cause they would slow you down. Horses are almost ok, but I think you're better off without them. Hummers (20km/h) and Land Rovers (25km/h) both move faster than any enemies (15km/h at most), so you can avoid battles easier if you want. Best cars can be found in Qubba and e.g. for a 20 man caravan you need at least 4 Hummers. They cost ~160k.

This game is addictive²³, reminds a bit of the Fallout games. There arent many browser-games with such a complexity, but it could need more RPG elements and a more detailed battle system.
And yeah, it definitively needs more badges.

Badges for completing campaigns would definitely be nice, but the game only reports kills and wealth through Kongregate API. I think Greg has given good reasons for not putting more badges on this. Anyway this is my favorite Flash game. IMHO this deserves to be better rated than this is, but I can see why Sonny is so popular. It has excellent graphics and sounds, and it's easier to get started than Caravaneer. Caravaneer has much more depth though and that's why I like it.

o but my wepon is the machine guy(dont no what its called but most expencive at qubec or whatever capitol is)every 1 of my people have the second best body armor but me i got best(camo 1) stick with horses and metal carts till i have about $500000 then get hummers i no its a lot but its worth it in the end o and do the desert patrol not the government cool game

That bug happens when you encounter 2 robber groups at the same time. You fight and win the first group, then (for reasons unknown) you have to fight that same group again, but because you've already killed them, you "kill" them with the first shot (or hit). After that you fight the second robber group. Then the game continues normally.
I've encountered this bug a few times, but it doesn't harm you. You get twice the loot of the first group, but otherwise there are no side effects.

well i found a bug....i just completed the robbers base mission and on the way out i was attacked, i fought back won and continued on my way, i then ran into another group of robbers, in which i fired one shot and won the entire fight.
