heres another route: qubba and masriah. buy shoes from qubba at 40$ and sell them at masriah for almost a hundred. get alshohol from masriah and sell them for more than 5 times the price in qubba=D

great advice iudex, followed the basic ideas and I got me 4 hummers full of mercs and heavy ordinance and a third of a million
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
iudex, thats not really good advice :(
soz, but, when u buy the mules, u get used to having to feed all them + mercs.
therefore, its gonna be hard to drop Everything or sell cos most cities like okadia dont have either a cart shop
or a farm or watever.
my advice is get onli 1 cart, get rich following iduexs trade route ( minus buying more mules) and head to vredammater platz then quabbas alchol trade
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
here's my strategy to get you going from start: buy the weakest cart, some food, a jug of water, and some forage, and as much leather as possible. Head to caganel, sell leather, buy shoes. Head to drushlak, sell shoes, head to poca cosa. repeat. Then at your next time in poca cosa, buy a mule and another cart. repeat once more. If at anytime you see clothes around $10-15/per, buy all and sell at $40. you should have between $20k-$35k afterward. drop your mules and carts. Head straight to Hara on foot. (i don't think robbers attack you on foot, i didnt get attacked once)
After this, buy a small jeep with your money and hustle alcohol from towns to Qubba. When you get enough, buy new weapons and some Hummers. Stock up on fuel and hustle gold from the NE to Qubba.
After this, just hire the crap outta mercenaries and start the missions.

does anyone have stats or guesses on the leveling/experience system in this game? I'm trying to amass a high AP group for the army battles and was wondering how long it would take.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
lol no wonder. i was wondering why caravan x had a special name so it turns out that it was supposed to be attacked? and how early is early?

Nice homage to Fallout. This would be a really fun game if there was some way to flee from combat. In Fallout you can try to make it to the exit grid if you screwed up and forgot to arm yourself and your companions. In this game you just have to lose. It's extremely frustrating, considering the time that goes into getting the game started. I don't think I can keep playing after the time I invested...and then forgot to issue weapons and extra ammo. A real shame. Fatal flaw in the game design.

I have talked to ex-general in Diep Gat but he did not give me the manual. Even I got back, There is nothing to talk with Shepperd.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
O.O xD this is hilarious theres a guy u can recruit that looks like George Bush and has 0 intelligence. xD ( in Diep Gat)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Heh. Shill, hire some folks to help you out. Trust me. If you don't, you'll be destroyed quite quickly. Probably on your first attempt to travel past Okaidi. Maybe even on the Drushlak-Okaidi route.

thanks guys! became really succesful!
:) by the way; i dpnt really use mercs; just 10 accuracy and agility is pretty good

iudex, yeah, you didn't do it in time. It's very, very particular about the time limits in that quest sequence.
And yes, it's annoying that autopay resets, as does your medical use parameter.

Judex, the Caravan X thing you described is not a bug. Caravan X exists, and is an active part of the game world, so if you can handle it early, you can kill it early, and it's the only caravan you can attack without hurting your DP rep. The only real bug with that scenario is that if you kill Caravan X early, the DP leader doesn't immediately recognize it, and asks you to go do it again. Just leave the city after accepting that quest for a sec, then come back and enter the DP base, and he'll give you credit for it. So its not broken, just a little illogical.

Shill, go to the map travel window and find the wrench icon on the bottom right of the screen. The options menu is opened that way.

Visitant,
Good advice, but I usually hire someone immediately, before leaving Poca Cosa. The mercs there are better than the ones available in Caganel and Drushlak, anyway.
Also, never bother with knives or swords. They're dead weight, and almost always useless. You just DON'T want to be in melee range of your opponents. NEVER. I tried creating a 10 Strength 10 Agility main character to see if a high strength value and lots of speed would make katana use profitable, but it just doesn't work out past the PC-C-D triangle. Once you can safely travel to the first city that sells grenades, they're always a better choice for secondary weaponry.

Few glitches found. I killed Caravan X before getting the mission to. Also, I killed the robber's hideout by just killing the first two robbers outside of it. Then I head back toward another town and on the way, the message window keeps appearing randomly saying Congratulations you defeated the robbers!. Also, I tried doing the fake ID, but it just says I lost the the game and should restart a saved one. Any ideas?

I'd recommend having at least 1 helper with you by the time you leave caganel the first time. The first time you fight robbers with a knife/sword give that to the underling. In the early game, always target opponents with weapons first then target those that are unarmed. If firing at long range be sure to switch from "Quick shot" to "Aimed Shot" to improve your chances of hitting the enemy. Hope that helps.

ned help on bein successful!
may sound noobish, but, can anyone give me a strategy fot caravneer?
i mean, u do the 1st triangle, but halfway through; like a maasive attack of robbers! can someone give me some advice?

BootieBadAzz, as easy as it would be to take a cheap shot at your forum name with regard to your complaints about how "retarded" this game is, I won't.
You can change both your caravan's map travel speed and the game's combat speed. Setting both to "High" will make the experience much quicker.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
too much time? that game is retarded! why does the travelling take HOURS? why does the fighting take hours TOO?!
Theres too much time wasted in doing... NOTHING!!!

by the way, yamiro i did get a perfect dead center at the town.welll.... not perfectly center but at least hit it w/o changing my course=D it takes practise and for those who miss way off, u need to go for geography lessons
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
wakaka it takes time to get used to it but try not to change course or u will end up stuck somewhere in the desert. dun care abt the economy. its totally screwed up and they change their products from time to time. if u think u shud let the town restock for awhile then move on to other triangles.for tips pls look at previous posts. they contain some really good information that u dun wanna miss =D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
dekari you will never get a perfect dead center hit on a town. intelligence is vet doctor and mechanic. which heals you your animals and your carts/vehicles every hour by a small amount. it's not useless it saves you with enough of it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
LOL wants intelligence for in this game. the only thing ive seen it do is slightly screw up your map calculations.....so u end up being like a couple miles away form the target but u still get there....i awlays set it to one

This is a great game, one of the few that I’ve actually continued to play even after getting the badge. :p Seriously tho, there’s more than meets the eye to this game. The economy is actually pretty fragile. I found myself making some mistakes and then having to literally bring towns back from the dead by re-stocking them with certain amounts of their Need items. Hint to those paying attention: In general, do not completely buy out entire stocks of items from town Markets. They actually USE those quantities you see in the Buy lists for their outgoing Productions, even though they are up for sale. I can’t wait to see future Adventure/RPG’s from SFG. :)
