Intelligence is the most useless stat in this game, put all into agility as well as physical shape and accuracy, more or less depending on how much you want to carry in the early game. Sell your Springfield and donkey, and buy a horse. Then after that rush to sell the leather, outrunning the bandits. If there's enough left get a cart too. When you finish selling your shoes, you'll have alot of money and no troubles with bandits at all. As long as you are the only member of the party, you'll be travelling at 7 km/h with the horses and it's even more cost efficient than using mules or donkeys, since they eat less because the trips are shorter. After you buy yourself your first vehicle, enjoy travelling at 15 km/h and being faster than any other bandit in the area.
Until you get your first car though, don't hire any people for your party unless you can afford another bike.

Tips: In the beginning, you may want to decrease all int. and make agility 10. Then, just follow the police instructions. Keep this alive if you want to.

This game is so frustrating and annoying at the beginning that it's nearly impossible to keep interest. Once you get your caravan up enough to where one attack won't overwhelm them, it's pretty good.

Am I the only one that noticed that in Diep Gatz, one person you can hire named Jorge Arbusto looks a lot like George Bush?

An easy & risky way to get rich: Once you've got you capital money (couple of thousands), stock up on 1-1.5 weeks of consumption, use mule or horse (to get 5 kmh speed) and go to Drushlak. Wait for other caravan to show up, and follow them. That shit is slower than you and tough as rock! Follow them around and you get a safe trip trading, redirecting thieves that come after you to them (thieves will aim for nearest caravan). KEEP THIS ALIVE!

im confused.. why cant my guy just go on the horse who has no cart.. and go at 15mph instead of the horse slowing down for him?

@Numbersz That doesn't work to well. It makes my guys health go down fast. That was figured out a long time ago. Just look at the caravaneer wiki.

I just started to make money, and all of a sudden I got gang raped by about 50 guys right before reaching Drushlak. Goood times...

There should be an auto save to make the game easier...otherwise we have to start over if there were a flock of 10member robbers chasing us while we at the center of the desert..

Going from the gold-producing towns in the northeast and then to Qubba are challenging earlier on, but oh, oh so worth it.
