For my caravans, I chose mainly camels and only very late in the game I made a caravan of Hummers, 15 of them to be sure. ;-) Camels restrict you to a very slow pace which means you having to fight every robber out there. On the plus side, it helps to build your characters skills, find some money in fighting robbers, and practically not have to worry about large quantities of forage and water, giving the Camels consume very little of it. The best carts for the mules come at 80kg of weight and give you 3x the capacity of the animal or so. But such carts can only be found in Verdammter or such expensive and dangerous places. I bought three of them when I found them for the first time in Verdammter. Those carts with the mules gave me cargo capacity of over 600kg, which is twice the amount of the Camel's 300kg. That said, when you are not short on money, Camels make the logistic simpler, and your Caravan people tougher. ;-)

One good weapon coupled with the rifles at the beginning is the Scimitar as it can cause damages of 7 points or so. So until you get your M1 Garand or Springfield in order, you may help to save your caravan with the Scimitar as well.

When you leave a town, finding the angle and clicking to head there, click on the options menu on the bottom right corner and save it on the first slot. During the trip, you might face lots of robbers and you could save the progress on the second slot until you are pretty sure you can override the first slot with a new save. Long journeys might mean more robbers to kill so it's more dangerous. A place to go to sell expensive stuff which is dangerous is to Verdammter Platz. But then you should be ready to face up to 14 robbers at a time. So beware. Finally, sure there are some glitches in this game that may appear every now and then, but many of us have played it just fine for several days/weeks.

Only in the very beginning do you save on buying more food, forage and water. You should not save on those things because once you run out of them your people become sick which is expensive to treat at doctors and hospitals. Much more expensive than the price of food and stuff. Stock up on good rifles M1 Garand or something which uses the same ammo of the Springfield you start with. Do not attack any other caravan when living in the first three cities and you should be fine. Your caravan could do with two or three people just fine in the first cities and it will help to build up their skills for later. Things to look for in a character include the action points or AP. The more, the more the characters will be able to shoot and walk.

When starting a new caravan, here's a recipe: hire the $550 guy, buy him a small $23 hunting knife, buy the 20 liters water recipient, buy 3kg of food, buy 11kg of forage, fill 19L of water, buy 0.02g of medicine, with the rest of the money buy leather and head to Caganel straightaway to sell the leather and buy shoes which then you are going to sell at Drushlak.

Cosmic Monkey, You idiot. People like you need to be filtered out of society. Your donkey was probably losing health because you had either no forage or no water. Just because you are too stupid to understand the game doesn't make the game bad. Also, STOP SPAMMING THE BOARD YOU FOOL!

Well it was an interesting experience to have to face series of challenges when crossing the map like that. I decided to come back through the same way and it meant I had to fight tens of teams of motorized robbers. Every second it was another one, so my progression was pixel by pixel at times. Damn. I scored perfectly against them always killing them before they could really attack me. At times I threw grenades at them and it as fun. Now I think I am done with this game. ;-)

The guy who said the MAOA3 was coolest was not kidding. The thing is murderous. I also loaded up with the baddest army armor which gives 60% protection and the most powerful grenades to boot. The other guy who said I was going to find good hires at Fort Goks was not kidding. I picked four of them and dismissed some other folks. My caravan now has 14 tough men and 81 camels and about 25 tonnes of cargo.

Wow. I got rich with $2 million playing at Quuba, Fort Goks and whereabouts, so the only remaining thing for me was to cross the map to the right side of it and I headed to Sekir Bashka at my cruise speed of 3 km/h. I would never imagine what I was about to encounter: rounds and rounds of motorized robbers who pursued me all the way to the city. I had to beat them 6 or so times plus some other less advanced robbers. Luckily I had built the army to kick their asses in at most two rounds, notwithstanding the guys behind the vehicles who were protected by them so it took longer.
