The game lags in such a stupid way that trying to drag something is a torture. => Horrible controls. (I play something idle and heavy in the background.)

I apparently got the easy badge for this back in September 2018, but I cannot play now as it just locks up on the load screen

What are smearartists? Use real words please. Also, Tyrant was huge too. It went down flaming. Same with the next version. It made lots of enemies, even people unlike us who hate these games for no reason at all. I get tired of re-purposed same-old, same-old, like I said. It's called criticism. If you don't like it, then don't read it. Or perhaps do us all better and rid us of your pathetic existence entirely. We don't like bullies and pseudo-not-quite-critics who try to shut us up doing close to exactly the same thing we do. Notice I said "close". You're off, because you haven't pointed out the real problem, like we did, just like I'm doing now. If you don't like it, well, I already gave you some suggestions. Try again when you grow up.

Damn it. Not again. Doesn't matter if it's this, Animation Unleashed or Tyrant Throwdown--done on purpose--it's like the Papa's Games, but with card games. Same basic structure. "Thanks for your patronage." Translation: "Give us your assets or stfu n' gtfo." Nope. Just nope.

Perhaps it's coming to an end with browsergames of Kongregate. So I have decided to say something. This is not the first MMO game I have witnessed this. Normally I write nothing. But now, what do we have to loose. All this may vanish soon when Kongregate closes its doors (Hopefully not)

Here we have a bunch of smearartists, and KaisarDragon must be his chief. Your nothingburger of critic and false outburst got 12 likes. And it's easy for you to get me under the threshold.
Yes, Spellstone is a worthy prey for people like you, because it's a beloved game for hundreds and hundreds of devoted players.

game not even loading for me... always got some kind of unity error during the loading.
Sadly this game is bond to the badge of the day.
1 star rating for me

The card game that doesn't even play like a card game - which i wouldn't mind as a card mehanics hater, but unfortunately the worst feature of the genre - randomness of drawing from a deck - is present (and it's only 3 card in hand, yuck). No strategy required, just a grind and upgrades, grind and upgrades...

For such a beautifully detailed, clearly well-made game (I made not agree with the choices but that's different), I am shocked at how fast I got bored playing this. I'm playing a side game while grinding up for achievement.

Yanno, it occurs to me that common card game mechanics might exist for a reason... reasons that might have reduced the overall clunkiness of the gameplay here. Like counter attacks, turn phase end, the ability to drop a card back in your hand because WOW I didn't want to play that, thanks.

My gold is full. My card inventory is full, so I can't use my gold. I don't have enough dust to upgrade and fuse cards to make space. I also barely have any cards to vaporize to make space. This game is a mess of inventory limits. That's the problem with free to play games with microtransactions. They are never made with the best gameplay in mind. Only monetization.

Don't waste your time on this boring pay to win game. Play any popular card game instead. Those are popular enough to have tournaments. And they don't have all kinds of inventory limits.

Fix your game. It takes way too long to start compared to the mobile version and I can assure you that my laptop is faster than my phone.

In the background of the arena, you can see some statues. One of them looks like the mythical card Lev, Forgotten Hero and the other might be a small Yuriel or, more likely, a small Verus (also a mythical).

Like everyone says, it's pay to win. In my head, it don't matter. I'm still enjoying my self here better than other games. Point is, I get on daily, quit after an hour maybe an hour and a half, and come back the next day. Not a single penny spent, still having a decent playthrough. Patience and skill get you farther than some money in your pocket.

It definitely is P2W, but I haven't spent anything on the game yet, and still am having a fun enough time with it. Granted, I also enjoy the fact I can play for maybe an hour and get off.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Actually, not even P2W, let's be honest with ourselves. Having an energy meter effectively makes a game P2P. Pay to play.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wow. Coming from Animation Throwdown, they are both the same game with a different coat of paint each. Shame they are both P2W crap.

"warning: 12 FS.syncfs operations in flight at once, probably just doing extra work" Make your game more efficient. It's much faster on mobile than on my laptop, but I can assure you that my laptop is faster than my phone.
